  1. I've got a BRNO/CZ 22 and it's got a 12.5' barrel plus mod. Lovely rifle.
  2. A 22LR if they are in sensible range. Use something like CCI Velocitors and ask your FEO.
  3. I love my BRNO Mod 2 in 22lr, lovely old gun and I shoot more with it than the CZ 452 HMR I have. No point in spending more than you need to on a tool, which is what a rifle is.
  4. Petition here: http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/whsmiths-retract-policy-on-sale-of-shooting-magazines#share Loads of signatures already. Please sign.
  5. A member of the Dursley Rifle and Pistol Club has one, it's awesome, but not very accurate...
  6. I bought a Deerhunter "Shellbrook" jacket recently for £45 which was advertised as waterproof and breathable, one trip out and I was soaked to the skin. Took it back.
  7. I know this isn't strictly what the OP asked but on a related note Avon & Somerset want you to have a burglar alarm installed at over (I think) five guns. When I got my FAC I already owned four shotguns and the Glos FEO cleared my Brattonsound 5-gun cab for eight, and a 3-gun takedown in my garage for four.
  8. Quite true, you could always use the day v night setup argument too. In fact I did it more to get an extra (different) rifle and mod slot to get a free 1-for-1 later down the line. In fact can someone answer a quick question? I have a mate who wants to add two slots for rifles, and wants mods too. Is that four or two slots, and therefore four lots of £26 or two??
  9. Actually same question for trousers too. Use waders on the marsh but not for lying in wet grass.
  10. I'm getting fed up with finding a plain green/brown jacket for hunting that's actually waterproof, including having waterproof pockets. Can't spend too much £££ at the moment, what do people use?
  11. I honestly think the low price of these can actually put people off. For a foxing round they're fine. If you're looking at scoring three hits on a 5p piece a long way away then maybe not.
  12. I have two slots for a 22 rimfire. Just told them I wanted a bolt and a semi.
  13. I've got a slot for a 223 with 'fox control' as the condition. I'm still not 100% sure about what centrefire to get (I've been mentored up to a 243) so I might whack in a one-for-one.
  14. I have a old AYA no.3 and was told by a very well-known gunsmith to use them, as the firing pins are notoriously apt to break. I agree that in modern guns, no.
  15. Yeah I totally agree. I'be got 2 slots for 22 so could have a bolt and a semi but I can see a greater need, where I shoot, for more accuracy and a slower rate of fire than the opposite.
  16. Looking for spare mag for a BRNO Mod 2 in 22lr, if anyone has one knocking about. Any capacity. Thanks. Please PM me.
  17. Yes they do. A mate of mine has just done this with a CZ452 varmint. Cost £130 delivered (inc tax) and involved drilling (I think) one hole and it fitted. It was a 22lr stock originally. Apparently it was a very very easy job. It transformed the gun and it looks amazing. Boyds stocks are excellent value.
  18. I love pigeon breast and best of all my little boy helps me pluck, breast and cook them. Proper little hunter he's going to be.
  19. Sorry to resurrect this after so much time but did you find somewhere and if so what sort of price?
