Just lately down where i keep a few chickens i have been thinning out a lot of rats, i mentioned this to a fella in passing and his advice was...."next time you catch one set it on fire and let it go,when it runs back down the hole the squeeling and smell will frighten off all the others" He didnt come out with this shit to shock or try and be the man, he really was advising me and believed it ! also a second person this week suggested a very similar method. This has got me thinking (no not about ever trying it) but old traditions and methods. Like if you split a jackdoors tongue when it

Shouldnt flies be dead by now or hibinate migrate or whatever they do its november !!! Had a lovely hare the other day didnt want to hang it for more than a week because i accept it is a tad mild, but thought seven days in a cool shed should be ok, well i did notice small maggots round the head on day five, not to bothered and all the ingrediants for the jugged hare ready i began the skinning, anyway half way through the fecking thing was wriggling iam not being squimish the head i could have lived with but not the body  This is twice now quite recently this has happend so

That is a massive help whiptail, the information you gave on first hand WORKING experiance is what i was after, your comments and those of the people on the sites you listed are all pretty much the same, they seem to be great dogs in the more experianced hands. Also just found out that a killountain kennals is about six miles down the road !!!

There is away you can live in a static , if there are animals on the land eg a cattery, that would need 24hr supervision. also to get it on in the first place a tack room hay store, once on after 4 years yoused to be 12 it can stay. the more out of site it is the better , but the neighbour you havent seen for ten years will suddenly come out of the woodwork.

Well i guess the jury is still out on these particular dogs at the momment , thanks for the info guys i think you should definately get one now macnas and keep us informed of further pros and cons. I also heard about the webbed feet, fascinating.
