One point that has gone unnoticed in this topic is the people who critisise this man , have read nearly every one of his books ! if you think someone is that bad or a liar why scrutinise every book they have ever written??? can quote chapter after chapter ... I really and mean really enjoyed tales of a rat hunting man ...an artisian hunter and the fell terrier they taught me to read !!!! This is a bit hard to put into words to explain clearly but here goes.... if say a pedigree dog example dalmation where to be accidentaly covered by example a doberman dog ,the bitch had her pups and then in the future she was bred only ever to pedigree dalmations is it possible that a black and tanned or any other characteristic of a doberman can crop up in future dalmation litters ???? This quetion started when a german sheperd coverd a borzoi years ago and the owner whent beserk saying his champion bitch was ruined for good.... i didnt think this was possible and still dont howeve

Hi lads ive put it about iam after an air rifle and a bloke phoned me offering a theoben fen man, its a springer apperantly they dont make em anymore, has anyone got / used one and how would you rate em, my last gun was a B.S.A meteor so a bit of advice would be great. cheers w s.

my biggest amongst the many are parting with a russell bitch over 15" and barely spannabl ignoring the fact she was an absoulte demon, beliveing all i read and blind to what was in front. ps. out of respect would never have another russell give.

I know it's been illegal for years how many i dont know, was it made illegal because otters where becomeing endagered through hunting or was it pollution endagered em, so otter hunting had to be banned before they were extinct ????? badger digging whent on for years after, same with fox hunting the otter must of been a hell of a pest on stocked rivers like the Test in hampshire and others... What iam getting at is what sort of a challenge would he have been for a terrier in his Holt , would a hard terrier be any good to him or was it russell types just to flush for the ho

RVWTC went and rescued 2 pups,they had fallen down a hole in a field near Mansfield. The black one was on loan to Mark Stocks from a well known terrier man. After the rescue the terrier man was told the pup was stolen. Photo of Mark Stocks with the two rescued pups. And it must go without saying mark stocks is a "gipo pikie travellar knacker" No ?????? he must be innocent.....

Thanks for the replys lads, a few differing opinions but i think i will do as wazz 77 suggested cut them into meter lenghths just in case, there not cast so should be easy enough to cut and hopefully locate being thinner as earthy said might be darn cold so i will put a stone bed in it ...and as someone else pointed out nothing to lose !!! thanks again.

Has anyone any experiance of using metal piping for an artifical earth, i know stone is probably best then ribbed plastic but i have some good lenghts of metal but dont want to go through all the hassel if someone has the knowledge they are a no no .....i cant see a problem , over to you

They were used in the war as messengers a very loyal dog, they have an obsession with children which they can become very protective of, a great guard dog....and regards hunting the hound in them can cause the nose to hit the ground and cause deafness... so dont let up on the training but all in all a great versatile breed enjoy...
