  1. Thanks for the good advice. I think you are right, she does think she is the leader at times. My cousin who was playing tug of war with her at the time and she is in her late 20's. Regarding being outside the shop, she was with the younger terrier at the time and gets protective when strangers approach. I am not making excuses, just stating why she may have bitten the stranger. We will try some one on one training with her, as this is what she may be short of. Also I am sure she will be a different dog once she gets working. In the meantime it will be a muzzle when out and ab
  2. We have two terriers. One is a lakeland x and the other is a patterdalex. Both are between 12 and 18 mths old. The patt is the eldest. In June whilst we were away the patt bit my cousin on the back of her leg whilst playing in the back garden. She has since bit someone whilst tied up outside a shop. And on another two occassions, she has bitten people we know. The bites have been nips, and not an actual attack where she wont let go. A couple of times she has broken the skin, but only slightly. She is a cracking dog otherwise, and will be worked when she is a bit older. We have b
  3. Pic of my black and tan, about 9 month.
  4. Not many of them in it for the sake of the animals anymore, just the money. At least the bitch is ok.
  5. Hi Jake Bet you were well pleased with that. Nice looking terriers
  6. Any one wanting a true working Patterdale this is the one, he is a beast I have the sister to this dog and she is strong and fearless. Cant understand why he is still there,
  7. Hi Tyson. Our patt pup broke her leg the same age as yours. She had a screw and a pin because of where the break was, think it was closer to her elbow. She had it in a bandage for a good few weeks with plenty of rest, then she had the pin and screw removed. It healed spot on, and never had any problems. The bones mend better when they are young, cos they are still growing, so hopefully all will go well. Good luck
  8. Cheers Curtis. We're made up with her. She was great coming home and is getting on well with the other dogs. She is looking strong already. Can't believe the dog is still available!!!! Anyone who is after a working dog, he will be a belter
  9. Our terrier chewed a sock at 10 months old, it ended up wrapped around her intestines. When the vet removed it one of the cuts to her intestines didn't heal and started to leak. This went on for two weeks, and she ended up having to be p.t.s cos she had peritonitis. So after about 5 operations, all of which failed, a bill of £4500, and no dog, we are still pretty f**ked off with the whole thing!!!
  10. Nice looking dogs. They look the business
  11. That's a nice looking pup that mate. Good luck with him
  12. Sorry to hear about the 2 dogs you lost, its always hard. It looks like you have a belting team for this year though, Good luck...
