    people over here tend to cross beagle with either a terrier or a spaniel getting hopefully something that will speak but not stay on a line for miles. if you look at the 'bushing dogs' thread there are plenty of examples hope this helps

Hahahaha you didn't bite . . . . bit like those terriers how long do you recon a hard terrier would last in that area. or a stay till dug sort. you're right of course CS - wouldn't last very long. And with a barbecue and booze waiting back at base, who'd want to be on a 2.5+ excavation?? as a terrierman in Ireland said to me about rocks "you need a wanker terrier that can dance like a cat " by the way CS there's a PM waitng for you on Moochers mate!

    ive a few terriers and my best bushing terrier is 15 inch. not saying the guy is wrong just that i have experienced different. cleanspade , sent you a pm on moochers mate
