  1. Hi all. I think my ferrets may have picked some fleas up. We have cats as well so they could have picked them up off the cats who are out all and go in the long grass , The ferrets are 10 weeks old. What sort of treatment can I use on them and there bedding ? We buy are cat flea treatment off the vet. I'm thinking this may be too strong to use on the small ferrets. So will one of the normal shop ones be ok ? I'm new to ferrets so any help will be great.
  2. Hi mate. I'm from the black k country too. I'm over in lye. I also keep chickens. I do not have any for sale. But if your after some then try the used dudley web site. There are normally some.for sale on there at most times of the year. Look under pets and also farms on there. There are also quite a few breeders around here that that use some of the Facebook groups to sell on.
  3. I will be checking that site out mate. Cheers
  4. Well done. Glad th you have found a few to have a go at at, and as you have said. Keep going back to the farms and keep asking. It's just a matter of getting you and your name out t here. Takes time, It took me about 12 months to get my first shooting permission. Lost that awhile ago now. Owners sold the land, I don't have any permissions at the moment. But I've not really been looking for anything. Once you have one permission, don't stop looking for others. Never stop. Because you never know when you will lose any of them. Good luck on your ferreting , yeah pal just gunna keep goi
  5. A lot of high street butchers do this now. No different than going to the supermarket really. But if you do find a "real" butcher locally then they are worth there weight in gold. They are about, but there numbers are going down. I think it's all because of cost. It's cheaper for them to but the stuff in , less waste for then too.
  6. Chicken necks sound a good idea. I will ask lowly about them. If not then them online prices quoted above look a good price.

  9. I give mine chicken wings too. They strip them but don't eat the bones. I also have alpha dry food on offer for them too. Plus they have had lambs liver, and I'm planning on trying them with some fish. Also I give them one egg a week. They seem to be doing well on the above . I'm not sure why they don't eat the bones as I know older ferrets will. Maybe they are full by the time they get to them.? I don't leave food in hutch for hours because of the hot weather. I might offer them the bones again later on in the day to see if they want to eat them.
