I live just up the road and had no idea they were there! I tend to go North up to Kibworth where there is a great shooting ground, shop, cafe and 2x dedicated air rifle ranges as well as a HFT course. Its a fair bit further from MK though - probably an hour drive. The guys there are great and us air rifle shooters are all a very friendly bunch. Cafe is superb too! Let me know if you need details. @ Mega Hunter That would be brilliant, but blimey it's a long way away! I'm actually down your way from time to time with family but not anytime soon. If anyone has an indoor range a bit closer please let me know!

Hi All, I have been struggling with consistency of late and getting a bit miffed at the odd, but too frequent flyer. Like many of us I get more frustrated the better I get and anything less that a tight one-hole group at 30yds has me miffed. I shoot little 10mm circles on the range and want to put all my shots inside. I normally shoot JSB Exacts in 4.52, but have recently tested out a couple of tins of 4.53's. I found that it took a good 50-60 shots before they started to settle down and tighten up and the results were better than the 4.52's at 40yds+ although still with irritating fl

Hugget Shroud And Moderator
TimS replied to Bossmugler's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I have a Huggett on my MK4. Verdict looks 10/10 Silencing - 9/10 Value - 5/10 To be honest it sounds the same to me as with the Weirauch silencer I had before. It's a touch shorter, but otherwise very little difference. I was hoping for more from it as a shroud/silencer combo and to be fair, it does work very well, just not £145 well. Price for this should be £-100, not £145 If cost is a concern, don't bother. The Weirauch silencer is just as good. Tim -
That looks stunning mate! Was it hard to fit? Tim

Well if I see what caused them I'll shoot it and let you know! Lol

lol maybe it was one of these...

this one has got me puzzled. The shape and size are similar to muntjac, but the spacing is not. Too close together and as bunny tickler says, they stop suddenly as it it were a bird, but the prints are like no bird print I have ever seen. Also look at the depth. Too heavy to be a bird.

Hi All, Spotted these footprints this morning and I didn't recognise what they were. Somewhat unusual as the path was very short. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Just noticed you are in Selby! I have family in Hambleton and am up there from time to time.

Weekend.rifle, you are one lucky guy. My Missus hates my guns, but I'm working on it...slowly. Had a couple of wins this week - first one was a pesky squirrel that keeps robbing my bird feeders. While I was out she called me to 'come home and shoot the squirrels because they keep stealing all the peanuts!' I was over the moon! What I didn't tell her was that I shot two of them last week and was leaving the others to breed some sport for next year. I'm pretending to be compassionate now so I don't have to shoot them yet! Lol Win two was a new scope. Okay it's half a win rea

Thanks for this Si. Love the Breakaway Coasters - I was looking for something like this to put on the AO wheel on my Viper Connect so I could use a finger to adjust the focus while still holding the stock. Just ordered some on the bay. I'll let you know if it works! Tim

Fabulous photos! I love the last one. Absolutely beautiful! Good to see some DPM too! I cant figure our why everyone spends fortunes on Realtree and Jack Pyke when Army Surplus kit is so good! Tim

first pcp, what should i go for?
TimS replied to Jungle Zilla's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
They are all cracking rifles. Cant go wrong with any of those, but they are all very different in how they perform. The Scorpion is deadly accurate in .22. Used to have one and it was brilliant, except the shot count in the sweet spot was too low for me. I would get 40 shots max and then need to top up again. The power curve variation is too big, so I sold it. AA have a great reputation too. Similar issues on a 410 with power curve, but probably a bit better. never owned one, but my mate has one and his sweet spot is from 160bar down to about 120, so again, 40 shots or so. 410 is -
There is one on eBay at the moment for £25. Be interesting to see what it goes for! Tim

Wow this is an old thread but what the heck - good to know who's about locally! I'm in Northampton and shoot a Daystate Mk4. Always happy to meet for for beer / chat / hunt. Tim

OMG that is beautiful!

Thanks Robwelsh, 135 shots sounds brilliant but the Daystate website says 150 shots from a full charge. 135 at full power from a full charge of 150 sounds a touch optimistic, unless the electric reg really is that good! Ouf of interest, how many full power shots are you getting from your Huntsman? Cheers. Tim

Hi All, Need some thoughts on my next rifle... So, Ive pretty much decided on a Daystate - either a MK4 with Sporter Stock or an AirWolf. I've shot both and love the handling of the MK4, but the accuracy of the Wolf was unreal! It may have just been the rifle - are the MK4 and the Wolf the same rifle but different stock/gas bottle? Also, does anyone know what the full power shout count is on the MK4? Thanks, Tim

Help with next scope.
TimS replied to BenjaminCadd's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I have a Panorama 3-9x50 which I am selling if you are interested. Its a cracking scope which I am only upgrading as I need AO for my Yukon NVMT. 3 months old so condition is like new. PM me if interested. On a slightly different note, does anyone have any experience of the Map6A reticule? I am used to 1/2 MilDot, but Map6A looks like a good idea. Any thoughts? Thanks, Tim -
Hi all, I have been reading through posts on the forum and thought it was time to join in! I'm a shooter in the Northamptonshire area looking to gain some shooting buddies, permissions and hunting experience. Give me a shout if you are local and fancy a pint! I shoot a BSA Scorpion SE .22 and am a member at Kibworth Shooting Ground. Cheers! Tim
