myself and buster will see u there source, all exams are over, have car now and will travel. will you have digging contest again , might have a go myself this year that was some crack last year . love this show always one of the better ones . -
showing is a beauty contest for dogs and in my opinion only the best dog on conformation, condition etc. will win and if the same dogs keep winning this is reflecting the fact that different judges are picking the best dogs so therefore deserve to win and get placed. no one will never know if the dogs are workers or not, but it is mt gut feeling , if you keep hunting dogs you will hunt them. otherwise you would more likely be a member of the kc club and keep a different type of dog and for different reasons. just my opinion.

no albert you do not organise the largest gathering if irish sports people , you cannot in fairness say that , yes the events are large and on par with some, surely the tullamore show would be the largest in ireland , the killag and the tinahealy are on par or larger. stop twisting my words i said i cringe when you use the word largest when it clearly is not. yes albert you do a great job well done. but well done to the many other larger and as big as shows too like tullamore and tinahealy. as for the costs the game fairs in england and wales which i have attended charge £15 on the gate and e

JH, Two very important points both the IWTF and RISE ASKED to be at our shows . WE DID NOT INVITE THEM although one of my colleagues is heavily involved in RISE and we were delighted to provide a platform for them. Why did they want to be at our events - simple because they are the two largest countrysports events in Ireland and I presume they thought they would gain from being at them. Why would they not want to gain from our shows at no cost to themselves? Why would any sane country sports person object to them being at the two largest gatherings of country sports people in Irelan

Thank you for the great write up, your grandad was correct. I must admit the racing was better 10 or 15 years ago, but the dogs are bred for more speed now. Everybody has the same type now, not like years ago, but the management have the final say with who's is in or out, so there would be no arguing. We will see you on Friday. looking forward to it -

It must be a record alright jimjim. It is some achievement to keep racing going for that many years. Tim Flood the collie trainer from Cloughban ran racing in the late 70s and 80s. It used to be good racing back then aswell, see you friday night, looking forward to the final. yes my grandad told me about him to, as well as being a great sheepdog trainer he won all irelands with his sheepdogs at trialls and won alll irelands for hurling too, did he run the racing in caim or was it in cloughban.? -

looking forward to a great evening lads You know there must be some sort of RECORD going on here, my grandad told me this flapper meeting started in CAIM in the year 1954 can any other club beat that? in those days they had, would you believe, LIGHTS on the flapper track, they had four bookies, every dog was tattooed and timed , there was an race card for all races wasn't that some professional outfit, i'm really impressed. they had races for whippets, terriers, lurchers and working sheepdogs. just imagine your sheepdog bringing home the cows twice a day and a champion race dog by night? -
