    I have a few small hobs which are 10 weeks old and ready to go. I want them to go to good working homes only and they are free to THL members. These will be small long and lean. I am in North Kent. PM me for details................................Edited to say that I used the mother to these kits last week for a ferreting job.

    He's napping but he was born with one eye missing, he's only 10 weeks old but it doesn't stop him getting about though........................................

    My old jills are slowing down now they have reached the end of their working life's, but I was lucky enough to find a polecat jill a couple of seasons ago which will work until a bury is empty. I have bred a litter from her and these will be my hopefuls for the coming season, In the orchards I do most of my ferreting its always handy to have a dog ferret (not overly big) which will seek and destroy. As soon as he's in I have the locator on because once he's made contact its normally game over for the rabbit and because the buries are quite shallow here a little 2ft/3ft dig will produce the go

    I have a ubas and its great for the summer, very cool whens its hot and the sleeves protect your arms from them nasty stingers...........................

    Ferreting without a locator is like playing russian roulette in my opinion, one day your gonna come unstuck and you could lose a good working animal through stupidity (i found a brilliant polecat a few seasons ago minus a collar and she works like stink), losing collars, if they were MK3 collars (even though they can still be dug too when they come off) I am not surprised upgrade to MK3M collars they have leather straps like the MK1's and are just better made all together. As for battery failure its normally operator error and poor preparation (Battery testers are available and very cheap too)
