    Hi everyone, after a year or two wait (letting the children grow a little) we have decided to get a dog - a Vizsla My question is, is a puppy from two "show" dogs going to be any good as a worker. I only do a little bit of shooting/bushing and would like the family pet to be with me. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Yeah I have never used a dog for hunting (am not sure of the whippets stamina, that's why I thought g/h would be better that's all, from what I've read on here)

    Yeah I did think about a whippet I just liked the size of the bigger greyhound, and the permission(s) I have are quite open farmland in lincolnshire

    Hi everyone, been following the forum for a good month or two, I do a bit of airgunning and snaring but me and the missis are looking at getting a dog (she wanted a shar pei at £1000) But I would like a lurcher- I have 1 two year old lad and we have a baby on the way, so the dog would do a bit of rabbiting and be a house/family pet. I've been thinking of maybe 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie, but am welcome to all suggestions and ideas. Thanks for reading Dale
