yea phoned the ibr and they give the owner a ring a young lad came up and collected it

found a harris hawk earlier on today with its leg tangled in some wire on my permission so covered it in a towel i borrowed from the landowner and cut the wire off it was all geared up and looks in good condition, any ideas what i should do with it if know one comes forward some say the RSPCA are a waste of time

It is up the small lane bit that is the problem. Can you get out of your house and to the permission without setting foot on a public highway or footpath? If the road from your house to the permission is a private road then, as long as it belongs to the permission holder you can walk up it! If you can get directly from your house to your permission holders land (ie straight through the hedge job), without crossing any public footpaths or highways then you are ok again. I know it sounds stupid, but the law can be, very! ill have to check with the landowner on that one mate i know

does anyone work vizslas with harris hawks, is this a good combination? is there a better dog to work a harris hawk with?

okay thanks lads i think ill give it a miss, would i be able to walk to my permission with a rifle in a case its not on any streets from my house its just up a lane to a farm baring in mind im only 14
