  1. Put a bit of Vicks vapour rub on the things she is chewing. They can't stand the smell of it
  2. Quite looking forward to my dogs' first season now . Conditions that I have to be there between 11pm - 6am and give some of the bunnies to the land owner so he can cook them . Will be going up either tonight or tomorrow night/morning to see what's about. Have seeb plenty of rabbit crap which is promising and people have told me there's a fair few bunnies about. Best thing is, these bunnies will have never been lamped before
  3. Thanks for that. Much appreciated. I go to this one every month. Next meet is August 12
  4. BARF is like raw meat, bones and organ. I personally think it's the best for my dog as when I go back to dry food, he loses weight. The protein depends on what meat you are giving the dog

  6. Been spending the last week or so training my dog to retrieve to hand (using a 1/2 rabbit skin dummy)- he's doing well so far - alot better than previously. Thought I'd share some pictures and a vid (sorry about me constantly saying "fetch") Concentrating Not exactly the best idea videoing in the dark!!
  7. Well done Boo! Always enjoy your pics Molly
  8. I can't get any weight on mine. Was having pasta, tripe and mince and has only put 1kg. Think he just burns all the food off quickly.
  9. Cheers, the dog I got a few days ago looks very similar so just trying to suss his breeding as we have no history Having a run with the bull/collie/grey 6month pup And my Saluki joining He is very similar. Where is he from? And what's with the muzzle? Cheers. I got him as he had been a stray in the Co Durham area. The muzzle is for the safety of my other dogs as his temperment off lead is unknown. When he gets close to my other dog he starts barking and I'm sure if there was no muzzle he would bite my Saluki. Can't take the chance on either getting hurt. With

  11. Do many of you have this breeding? If so, can you post some pictures please? Thanks
  12. He's not too fit yet but I will get him there as he has a fast Saluki to chase after He was found as a stray with infected stitches in his leg so my guess is that his owner couldn't be arsed paying the vet bill! His recall is very good and it looks as though he has been worked He can't keep up with the Saluki yet and was knackered after about 10 minutes but I'll get him sorted
  13. Hi, Just got this dog yesterday and was wanting some opinions on his breeding. I think he's a SalukixBullxGrey. The bull isn't too ovbvious but he is very stocky and muscly. He is smaller than my Saluki x but weighs more (probably 24" TTS - Saluki x is 28") Here's some pictures. Cheers Rebecca
  14. Thanks Matthew, but I'm a girl lol
  15. Here's mine - sire - pedigree saluki, dam - lurcher Some nice looking dogs on here! J.Dog, your Saluki has nice markings! How old is he? He looks quite young, mines 16 months (also from Co Durham area)
  16. Have you been on the permission yet? I'm also from Shildon
  17. Hi, New member but have bee lurking round the site several times. I have taken my dog out ferreting a few times but we've still got a long way to go on the training side of things. Quite an obedient dog but when he's picked up a rabbit he won't listen to me at all, he seems to go deaf! He can fetch balls and toys and has quite good recall but as soon as I give him the rabbit skin dummy, that's a complete different story. Nothing better than standing in the middle of the field looking like a complete ass.. The first time we took him ferreting he caught two half grown rabbits,
