  1. Hi, just wondering what the thought process is behind 5/8 bull cross being classed as a Terrier cross and not any other bull cross? How can someone fully prove that their cross is only 5/8? Will this not seem slightly unfair to the likes of wheaten and Irish terrier cross? And will those that ender the terrier cross class as a 5/8 bull cross also be eligible to enter the other bull class? Thanks, G
  2. Good selection of judges there lads hope this shows as good as last years..good to see a terrier cross class hopefully the bull cross will stick to their own "bull cross class" & leave the terrier cross class to bed, irish, wheaton ect,not slagging the bull cross handlers ere as some hav really nice workn dogs but i like to see this class kept apart..see yas tomarraw.
  3. My original post was not intended to start any arguments. I personally had a great day and was impressed how well the show ran as a hole. I was merely highlighting a few points.
  4. Think that's more along the racing layout. A programme such as that would create some controversy! You are obviously a very narrow minded person.....
  5. If that's your thinking process, then why not just put every dog type in every class! Separate classes are programmed for a reason!
  6. Great day at show today, just one or two things would like to point out that myself and few others disagreed with. Firstly, there was an attempt from the lurcher steward to merge the under 23 rough & smooth together! As he did not think there was enough dogs for the two classes. This would have been a pointless exercise as not only are you taking a dog out of the final straight away but also it would be unfair to judge both dog types against each other when there was a clear program layout for both dog types. Which in my opinion is just laziness on the stewards part. Also brings me to
  7. Afternoon Guys, Will there be an event program placed on this forum? If so, when will it be available? Also, what time will the high jump be taking place and will it be ran on both days, with a winner carrying over to the second day?
  8. Hi guys, was wondering if there are additional classes or any added extras this year?
  9. Have suppoerted both clubs shows past couple for years and must say, it is great to see the amalgamation take place. I believe this will draw a great crowd (from both the north and south) and in turn promote some healthy competition in all events. Will this be a permenent partnership or is just a one off??
  10. Firstly, no one held a gun to anyone’s head and made them enter their dog!! The jump wasn't hidden and everyone was quite able to see the set up before entering their dog. Also, hay was added as the jump progressed in height, no matter what anyone says it did break the fall compared to landing just on the ground. And proved to do the job as none of the dogs were injured. Possibly few tweaks may be added next year to improve but it would be a lot more beneficial to give constructive criticism (in the likes of a P.M) rather than starting a whole debate slagging and making dicks out of your
  11. Was at the show both days and must say it was a very well organised and professionally run show. The judging standard was second to none, well done to all involved.! There is a lot of work goes into organising any show, all credit to everyone who gives up their time and puts the effort in. There are ass holes on this (everyone knows who they are, no names needed) that obviously havent got a f***ing clue! And they just slate certain shows because they think it will make the show they follow look better! It's really sad on their part as shows are really organised for a bit of craic on the o
  12. WIll the entry times for racing be at the same time for both days?? Also will there be another high jump on the Sunday? Looks like it will shape up to be a brilliant day, hope all runs nice and smooth for you Ian. See you there. O and...I will be taking home the High Jump Trophy .
  13. DB, Bringing something new to an event involves a certain amount of risk in every sense, don't think the gilford men need the likes of you and you smart comments putting people off. We should all be encouraging people to come give it a go, after all it's only a bit of craic and healthy compitetion. Or.....maybe your putting it down because you own dog isnt worth a shite and your starting to make excuses already. Do you even support this show??
  14. Sounds good, what are the trophies(or prizes) like for class/overall winners?
  15. Thats a good jump, what age & height is he ? He's 25'' & coming up on 4 in June. What prises will there be for high jump. Also will there be a kept record or 'defending' champion for next year?
  16. ** Lurcher Under 23" & Over 23" High Jump (This Is A First Time Event At Moira And Has'nt Been Held In N.I In Over A Decade) ** Looking fotward to the high jump returning this year...have been getting my dog ready for it, he's jumping around the 9 1/2ft mark. Anyone else recoding their dogs hieghts??
  17. I think Gilford L & T club are setting themselves up this year for their best show to to date. They clearly have been devoting alot of time and effort in organising it, hope it all pays off. Good luck
