The newer formula is a bit faster, it's ever so slightly thinner so some people found they needed to make their tapers slightly bigger. Personally I only noticed a very small difference and didn't find a need to alter mine. I have a feeling they changed the formula to cut costs as they also changed the amount that you get in a box.
Has anyone here ever made their own cider? I have been offered an abundance of apples and fancy having a go at making my own. I've seen a few video's on youtube with people using juicers, has anyone got any tips or recipes they would be willing to share?
Thanks for any help.
Hi mate, I find 20mm-15mm tapered TBG doubles are ideal for all the shooting I do, from 9.5mm target shooting to 18mm lead close range stuff.
All the best,
Jim.
Try using waxed cobblers twine to tie your pouch ends instead of using rubber, it will make them considerably lighter and faster. You will also get a lot less band slap, especially when using a large pouch.
That's indeed true mate, your ammo must be suitable for your band set up. I tend to like to go with a medium rig which I feel caters for all my shooting needs.
Most CA glues will work to good effect, as for hard wax oils it's down to personal preference on what you want from the finish. Try visiting a flooring company and seeing what they have on offer. They should be able to show you some different examples of what's on offer mate.
Tru oil gives a very glossy finish but I don't find it offers much protection, a CA finish or a hard wax oil finish will give you the same glossy appearance but will be much harder wearing.
