Completey agree Mole, i do cringe when i look back and think of the stupid things that i did in my youth. I luckily got away with most of it to live and tell the tale.!! All the best. Deri.

Hi All Just seen a great thread on the airgunning forum, so i thought i would cheekily copy it and see what you guy's had to say on the matter. Here's mine. Back when i was around 14-15, i had my trusty old hw77 .22 full length that was my perfect hunting tool, that was until i decided that it needed a new ox mainspring as at that age all i wanted was more power in my gun. With very little knowledge on the finer points of tuning a air weapon, me a shooting buddy went about stripping the hw 77down put in the new spring along with bucket loads of grease thinking we would end up with

theres nowt wrong with a rapid 7 its down to the person useing it.if theres problems with o ring or air leak from around the bottle is probably someone as either trying to take bottle off when its stil got plenty air in it or not dry fireing when remove the bottle.haue to admit the 7 shot mags are rubbish but the 12 mag no problems with them.ive had 2 rapids in past .no problems with either. there's nothing wrong with the operator here my friend. I bought that Rapid 7 new for £545 back in 1994. I had nothing but problems with it from day one. Most that i highlighted in my original post,

Hey Sunbeam My worst would have to be a Theoben Rapid 7 that seemed to be so unrealible it nearly put me of pcp's for good. It would chew o rings, leak air, magazines were poorly designed and expensive, the trigger was appaling, and i could'nt wait to get rid of it. This was an early gun i might add, and from what hear, the later models were a lot better. My favourite pcp is my current HW100T which is truly in a league of it's own in my opinon. It's solidly built, accurate in the extreme, and it's been 100% reliable. I have no experinence with Daystates so can not coment. I might add

i don't think i've even seen that many before, let alone shot them. Unbelieveable shooting to those guys in the pics. Hat's off! All the best.

If you think it means 'has it been tuned by SFS' then yes, it does mean what you think it means! I'd say you've had i nice little result there. Lucky man All the best.

Hey, no offence taken. This is the internet after all, and faceless keyboard warriors will always try and stitch up the trusting folk. It's surely a positive thing when people want to automatically see the good in people rather than assume the worst. Better than being on the defensive all the time i guess. Lessons learned all round i guess. All the best Pianoman P.s hope you enjoy the HW97K on it's way to you. My Hw100t in .177 is unbeatable with aa fields in 4.52. Could be worth a try .

Hi Pianoman I can assure you that not all of us from the Gloucester area are cut from the same cloth as the family of Weasels that are the Grahams. All the best

i have the hw100t and can't fault it. Are there are any specific questions you want answers too regarding it? Check out the Hw owners forum and you'll see plenty written about it. All the best

Which rifle would you choose?

Hi I have an hw100T and I can honestly say that that's it's leagues above my other pcp's that I've owned (rapid 7, falcon lighthunter).Mine will do 5p sized groups out to 50 yards and 10p sized out to 70yards. Check out Si Pittaways vids on you tube and check out what he does with his! I'll also add that I would say it's better quality than the aa410. I shooting partner is looking to sell his aa410 after trying the hw. Just my opinion. All the best. -
I have read a lot of your post's on this forum and as a fellow spring gun fan (specifficaly HW and AA) i'm alway's happy to hear of people praising the virtues of the humble springer, and as a non military man, i have the up most respect for anyone who's served or serving in our nations armed services (my grandfather was a Royal Marine Commando with 30 Assault Unit in WW2). I also hear that you may be one of the finest spring gun shots on this very forum, so i may have to bend your ear one day for some tips and advice!!!! All the best Deri

Hey Guys, I have a aa screw in silencer on my tx200hc, and the standard weihrauch one on my hw100t. I have stated on this forum before that i find that the silencer makes quite a difference on the tx and a massive difference on the hw. On the range, it seems to make no difference to accuracy either. My only gripe with it, is that it adds considerable length to the tx and in something like a hide situation, it makes a short gun long again. As to the re action of quarry to the silencer, people mention the 'thwack' noise, well what about if you missed the target and have a chance of a sec

Cracking stuff lads. ATB -
it does. Thats why i am asking the question.
-
I've found my aa silencer makes quite a difference to my tx200hc. Maybe not so much at the gun end but 15 yards plus and it makes quite a difference. With the 97 silencer its more a case of doing it for the looks as i think it looks so much better. Just like the venom silencer. ATB

Where abouts are you buddy?
-
Hey davy, Two guys where I work run an engineering firm out of one of our units. I'll have a chat with them and see what they say.
-
Si I spoke to tony at sfs yesterday as I wanted a couple of rifles sorted, he said he can do it but he has a back log as one of the gunsmiths left the firm, (he has a new trainee now though) so I've had to send them else where he also said your 97k will be the last stage 2 they do for a while as he dosnt have the time personally and the trainee isn't ready to do that yet...so just thought I'd let you know your a lucky sod!!! Atvb Jamie Aye mate I've got a feeling Tony is going to lose alot of business over the next few months, I ordered a new rifle and set up from tony 2 weeks
