I have a dog here going back to jay which was Spartacus x jess. I know jess was also by Spartacus but don't know her dam. Was told when jess,s owner collected her from kens there was 2 litters in the pen and he didn't know which ones was out of which bitch. Anyone know different
Flint was definitely out of Spartacus I remember him getting him from kens. He was a friend of a friend at the time. Was the scratch bitch a rough haired bitch I think I dug to it with Ken around the time he got it back. I have a photo somewhere of her and Spartacus from that day
Different areas tend to use different sized slates. 16 x 10 are common in yorkshire/ Derbyshire. If they are Welsh and not Spanish and have not been painted with tar and are in decent Nick a reclamation yard will probably give you around £400 per 1000. Doubt they would pick 300 up though as there is only enough to do about 10m2.
For the last ten years I've done
2 days, 2 nights , 3 afters and 2 off
2 days , 3 nights 2 afters, and 2 off
3 days, 2 nights , 2 afters and 10 off
Love these shifts plenty of time to get out midweek when no one about
Had these continuous wear ones about 6 years. I work shifts and couldn't do with having to take them out after the night shift. I tried a few different sorts and some made me have blurred vision tell your optician you want to try another brand.
If you do find the right ones you won't look back ( pardon the pun. These I have cost me £27 for 3 pairs
I've been wearing contacts for about ten years now best thing I ever did. I use continuos wear ones. Put em in and forget about em for a month. Sleep in em . Forget I have them in to be honest. Wouldn't go back to specs for nowt
A young dog I've got at the minute reminds me of the lakelands I used to see about the shows in the eighties. Was told Middleton bred but I think it's the first name that comes into people's head. Got him started and he's very very full on.
the black dog I had came back to kens along with a litter brother which was black and tan from s.harcombe . If I remember b+t went to Huddersfield area and was lost in rocks not long after . They were both spartacus x oil
whernt a lump of a dog straight spanable good length of neck, turn of stifle well muscled and well put together ..What was he like when you were digging over him Stig,
dont remember digging the dog i took some time out from terriers around that time because my business had took off and i had a young family to bring up...
I saw him work in surrey about 91ish. Did his job on the day. Had a dog out of him and a bitch called oil which was a decent hard dog. He did look like a bitch but threw some big strong dogs
We used to do em when I worked in the butchers many years ago. Used to buy beasts heads for £2.50 take the tongues out and I could have the heads with the cheeks on for the dogs. Much nicer if you soak them in brine for a couple of weeks first. Makes em nice and pink when cooked
Some people will always crave fame and attention wether its working or showing dogs. We all know who they are it's usually accompanied by plenty of self promotion. I know lads and I'm sure all of you do that have never bought a terrier book or been to a show or on Internet forums, they get all the kicks they need from seeing their dogs work
