For Sale Quality working line - Ferret Kits
welshferret replied to welshferret's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
Appreciate comments - all you northern lads may come across them & let them go cheap/free but I sold over 40 last year - Jills & Hobs @ £15 each & with people willing to travel ... - breeding lines DO matter - you get ferrets that will 'flush' earths but only quality will 'hunt' - searching all levels of bury not just run through it ! As for leftovers - I kept back 2 Jills & 1 Hob last year & brought in the euro polecat. Litters are 1 & 2 weeks old (un-sexed) & 8 already marked to go. -

Just south of Horsham - W Suss & not 'micro' as such - Jills & Hobs will reach around 11 inches nose to tail -
Hi - I've got a few litters that'll be ready to go middle of June - 1st are 3/4 polecats (not sexed yet) other 2 will be nicely marked dark / sandies. Bred from top quality working stock (hence price) - small & compact - please place orders now to avoid missing out. Jills & Hobs available with bloodlines traced back for 9 generations. To go to experienced owners only. Both parents are proven workers and can be seen. PM me for more info £20 each Pics are from last years litter - but same parents

Available Rabbit Control - Heathfield East Sussex

Hi - PM sent -
Whites with 'black' patches/stripes are normally referred to as 'Silvers' - I've bred black eyed whites & albinos before & threw 'silvers' - sometimes the black streaks/patches will fade after the 1st 12 months. Nice looking kits there btw ATB

I put my bitch to 'Glen' on the weekend so if all goes well will have pups ready in a few months - she's whip x grey x bed - traced lines back to year 1608 !! stands 23" tts - so pups should make 21/22" - pm me if interested - quality working lines

From personal experience - seen Zoro (1 of Jase's) work & like a demon - stuck in my mind so much that tracked the line back to Mike Browns line - & that's what's going on my bitch tomorrow ! Quality & know that these 'Pocket Rockets' are Quick & have the stamina to go with it !!

I'd suggest you leave them together for at least a week - just to be sure he's got to her. I've also had Jills come straight back into season once taken off. Put them back together & leave for a while.

Cheers - I'll cut out the Mills then & try her on something a little less packed with Protein - should I be looking for something around the 22% mark you think ?? & yeah - intend to speak to Mike for his opinion but variety is the spice of life -
I'm all set to line my bitch (Grey x Bed x Whip) with Glen (Strike while the Irons hot) - well know stud from Mike Brown, this weekend.... So - Looking for ANY tips for this stage on really - best feed, routine of feeds, anything all you guys n gals can offer me. I'm a 1st time breeder & even with reading all I have still want to make sure I give the pups the best start they can get (and to keep the mother in best condition). So far - general I've got is - feed normally for the 1st 5/6 weeks (I use 3/4 Red Mills Tracker & 1/4 Red Mills Racer with tripe/rabbit) then switch
