    tut tut tut dee maybe I'll see you at the Meathshow this year and ill bring this back chat up over a pint that's if It's you on the keyboard talkin balls i ll be at meath ok and i ll be drinking a few pints alright but back chat i dont think so the way the anti brigade are getting together its not really something to make slight off need to get our heads together or pints will be the only thing we ll be allowed to do !

    my first thoughts upon seeing this is to attend it as it says open to all and would be a heads up on there plans and bullshit that they plan to spout to the ordinary joe bloggs keep friends close and enemies even closer and not only for the terrier\lurcher men but for all fieldsports people knowledge is half the battle !

    Many people i would suspect dont do any thing with there dogs but give them a spring bath and shake off the winter cobwebs, I know a few that have 30 plus dogs and not a decent one amongst them. they are also the kind of people who breed countless litters of "working" bred puppies that will simly will not work out as there breeding or abilities have not been studied .they put bitch over dog and hope for the best...i really think people need to base there planned future mating on the capabilties of both parents rather than what they look like... i dont breed often but i have not been dissa

    you ll find that the only people who study and plan a proper mating be it terrier lurcher gundog etc are the people with work in mind as that the whole point of breeding is to maintain or even try to improve the working abilitys of the dogs the so called working puppy breeders breed to make themselves feel important with the side bet of some handy money these same people take there summer racing very serious as a fifty p rosette seems to make them feel important and they then kid themselves there the saviors or there breed working wise aswell as to be honest this type would know one end of a d

    all my older dogs will soil there runs but they have pop holes through into a kennell block were there is a raised bed with shavings and the floor has some shaving scattered on it aswell they keep this area spotless tho brother has a young spaniel 4 months who will just about shit were ever once the notion comes on him only the other evening i found him laying up in his fresh shavings chilled out with a turd laying along side him he must of just got up shit and lay back down a proper dirty cnut hopefully he grows out of it would nt mind he s an outside run plus floor in kennell block but no he

    nice pic looks a good day out with dogs that look in good shape but stand corrected i wont there are some people who work and show there dogs these are the people that should be attending working shows but tell me this maverick are there or are there not a growing number of people who keep there dogs with the aim of attending spring\summer shows and that there dogs are not earning there keep in autumn\winter ?

    working terrier\lurcher shows are nt what they used to be for obvious reasons but its still a place for men\lads with working dogs to take there young pups along or old retired dogs for a bit of a look round and have a chat to like minded men about what sort of season they had what young dogs there running on etc etc but theres people and they know who they are that treat the WORKING DOG SHOWS as there main reason for keeping dogs they actually dont even work there dogs during the winter months and there season so to speak only starts this time of year rosette season !fooking mystifies me ther

    soon as they put the word WORKING dog show. then yes the show should be for workers.....if its to race and argue with 1 another which seems to be happening every summer...just call them dog shows and cut the word WORKING out of the title...just my opinion.... Fair comment!!!! I'm heading out to my local working man's club. Think i'll ask them to kick everyone out who doesn't work.........i'll probably end up getting lynched but all the men on benefits well then they should start there own club maybe allergic to work club !

    handling class is this for real !what happened to the good old fashioned terrier\lurcher show that was relaxed and a pleasent day out to chat and enjoy the break in the off season it all seems to be getting to serious and the way people get on about this lurcher racing its getting out of hand if you s are that interested and serious about racing get yourselfs a few greyhound s and get out amoungst the big boys on a race night round drumbo dundalk lifford or shelbourn park !

    just a thought but now shes retrieved shot game etc she may just of cottoned on to what shes about i know of a good lab that took all her training very well but once she had a seasons shooting over her she looked at a dummy like it was a turd but drop a bird on land or water and she was back with it not a prob tho just a thought

    i can vouch for lukey a good keen lad who lives for his dogs and one of the few who listens to what you have to say and does not think he knows it all and i seen the pic s of said day he mentioned he s def not a keyboard hunter like most on here and has no reason totell lies from my experience !

    ours was 300 nearly three years back but there a new version out exact same thing only none of the other functions on it that you never use think its 250 but well worth the money imo its a grey and green one ours is the grey and orange one

    one day i remember is many years back and with two mates we had travelled a fair way on an invite i had a young dog named bodie that i had bred and he had a few digs under his belt but still very green arrived at farm and lads asked if i wanted to try pup i agreed and off we went we had a nice walk to first earth and pup was let go he made contact and we had a nice little dig of 2 to 3 foot to him job done the fella said there was another earth not that far away and it was nice walk back to yoke so lads asked if i was happy to try the pup again i said ok so off we went earth looked really good

    best show /game fair i was at last year tho weather had big part to play as it was a scorcher hopefully be the same this year all the best with show .ps the no the free entry into field for terrier lurcher showing is a good gesture but i think everyone should have to pay in and keep the whole fair under one umbrella as gun men fishermen etc are part of country sports as are the terriermen lurcher men so why is it free for there area and no one elses i think it divides us from the rest in a time when we should all be sticking together just my opinion .
