nellie was put to sleep on tuesday ,lost one of those once in a lifetime dogs and gutted,the symtoms in the beggining were a irritation cough this was not a bad cough just a bit of a hac now and then ,my wife whos been with a vetinary practice as a nurse for 16 years took her in they found nothing when they scoped her throught exept some blisters on the tongue , they also blood tested her but you cannot detect t.b through a blood test so this came back negative,they went on to scan her chest were they found some shading, this was when they opened her up and found her lungs and kidneys covered

I Have recently had one of my terriers test positive for t.b i am waiting from labs to identify the strain, has any one else had anything like this, cheers

This is a diferent story of a jacker, at the time [pre ban ] i was running a 3/8 5/8 good bull grey a real hater of foxes,i also had a deer/grey col/grey who was in her first real working season i had this bitch because i rate them as all rounders,i started the d/g/c/g on foxes along side my bull bitch which went excelently as im sure my bull bitch just caught foxes so she could see how hard they could bite her [she loved the head end and never complained].Things were going excelently and they acounted for alot of foxes until tradjedy struck and my bull x was laid to rest after a fit that kill

When running the big stuff in hot areas we allways took 2 trucks , try it it works well just dont park them in the same place , better explain THATS ONE FOR DOGS , AND ONE FOR GAME ,

The last three foxes ive had this season have had overly large brushes and seemingly denser coats could this be mother natures way of saying were in for a cold one ,has anyone else found this?

I think this is a broad subject which includes lots of factors such as breed ,prey drive ,country you hunt and what you might bump into, for example i live in the south west were we are over run with badgers there for the risk of walking my bull cross off the slip could land me doing a spell at her majestys pleasure , on the other hand i could take my collie cross and keep her tight to me off the slip as she is a more level headed breed , you cant just say your dog is not under control if you need a slip,to many variants ,or very narrow minded

you have it spot on there mate.. i suppose all these people saying throw her at one of the winter foxs(which could well be a seasoned adult and not the 07 cub they were hoping for) for her first were the ones that had fights at school with people that they knew were going to give them a hiding. you just wouldnt do it would you start her of when you get a chance its all about buliding confidence, no wonder theres alot of lurchers getting passed from pillar to post because they aint doing foxs , if there all getting chucked in at the deep end.... spot on advice the dog has to believe h

there will be more entrances soon its just a start i got a plastic one down at the moment and ive had a few guests in there and as for young im prob 10 years older than you Got one on my ground 6 entrances and 2 bedding areas take several foxes out of it through the season the pipes are also plastic, do not make the earth to small, bigger the better :thumbs-up:
