    Jeremy has the room to keep my bitch and the stud there ( to mate her as many times as possible ) and has a good knowledge when it comes to getting a good mating as the stud is very in-experienced and Jeremy doesn't mind getting his hands dirty Plus the dog is back with the owner at the moment and he has no knowledge of matings so Jeremy offered to get it sorted at his place, to make life easier and have a better chance of a succesful mating. But from the sounds of things you know Jeemy anyway so you will know how helpful he is, as well as his knowledge.

    Hi, The dam is Bonniemore Summer of Simba, Pete Avery's hard going brood bitch. She goes back to Cressett, Parkbeck , Rytex Rod etc.....and she destroys cover....thats why he bought her as he believed her to be the hardest going in heavy cover that he had seen. If Jay is that close then he is a very good dog to use. Kenmilquin Flyer will be in Cheltenham when I use him but Will Clulee's place is in Worcetershire. I am having him brought down to Edgegrove to have the mating carried out by Jeremy Organ and will mate the bitch as often as we can, hence the reason for the dog being broug

    This is a dog that I will be using on my bitch too, a very nice dog with nice bloodlines too, a natural marker and great retriever, hard going in cover with drive , pace and style. Whitehope Liquorice is another very nice dog and one I would consider using but I have Kenmilquin Flyer on my doorstep so can get plenty of matings......don't get me wrong it is not just a distance thing as he was my first choice of stud...it's just a great bonus he is just up the road from me.     A good piece of advice I was given some years ago was if you like the look/work ability of a dog then breed from the dog that produced the one you like, advice I took on board when I got my current ESS. I really like FTCH Deepfleet Jay so got a pup out of his sire , FTCH Rytex Ragamuffin. I also managed to get a Cocker pup from a repeat mating that produced FTCH Timsgarry Barlow, so I know the mating works and it is to be the last litter FTCH Timsgarry Kelly would have, I believe. Also find out what you can of any offspring from the dog you intend to use and see how they have turned

    It is hard to say, as sometimes there may be a smaller pup in a litter but once taken away from the litter it develops in to a adult of similar size to it's litter mates. Sometimes the small one will always be the small one. The biggest litter of ESS I ever had was out of a smalll bitch to a med dog yet the litter turned out huge, two of them were the biggest Springers I had seen. Other people with more knowledge of lines, pedigrees etc.. will have more input than myself.

    I have a B/W springer dog , 12months old a few days ago, and whilst he is not tiny he is far from big. He has always seemed small to me but I have noticed lots of very big springers around. He is what I would describe as a medium, nice sized springer, not too big and not too small and he destroys cover and ground if game is hiding deep inside it with plenty of pace, drive and style. He was bred by Pete Avery of Deepfleet Gundogs. His sire , Rags , is not a small dog though. His sire is FTCH Rytex Ragamuffin and his Dam is Bonniemore Summer of Simba.     I have posted on other forums regarding the above cross and had very mixed response. I have ( few years back now ) owned a 3/4 Greyhound 1/4 GSD Bred by S Barton from his dog Musket and rated the dog very highly, took all quarry single handed, worked with ferrets and was very loyal. She died young from Lukemia. I posted questions regarding the BSD ( Malinois ) first cross greyhound as I think they (pure Mally ) resmble a lighter framed GSD so a first cross should produce a dog capable of ALL rabbiting duties and guard to and have a great nose and brain, pre-ban I reckon they would tak
