    This is what I can't understand how ..if someone works their dog ,,thinks docking is Barbaric what does he think of digging ? he keep ratting dogs I guess ? not digging dogs... so every owner in the past of show and working spaniels, every owner of working and show terriers, dobermann pinchers, old english sheep dogs, boxers etc etc, ware Barbaric ? docking of tails is harmless, causes very little or no pain... and the antis and kc are just trying to turn every one in to nannys,,, give a inch and they take a mile

    oh dear :laugh: :laugh: So why are plummer terriers docked then? Just thinking the same... and never heard anyone back then ever complain about tails being docked

    What do you really think is wrong with it ? no real pain involved ,as said earlier ,, there for not cruel, long tails are a bother if you have dogs that wag their tails all the time like Spaniels and if you keep them kenneled they get damaged at the tips, and if every time you work your Spaniel they come back damaged , surely this is more cruel ?

    Then if they are all measured and the kc type are bred for speed not the show ring , why are the objecting to non peds racing against them ? if there is no advantage in size, then it must be down to the non ped just being faster... ?

    Thanks Tango very good explanation... so more or less the non peds are bred to be fast and kc whippets altho fast are bred to a kc standard...

    Just wondering why are non ped whippets not allowed to race with the kc whippets ? if both are under the hight they race at whats the difference what is raced, are the non peds just faster than the show whippets ?

    it was a old english sheepdog, i dont think they ware used as a cross as they are a show dog for far to many years with out any working tradition behind them

    its easy enough to get kc papers are yous going to anything else to stop all the cheating ? and we know its all the same few doing it each year

    This is a great idea Tango... it will stop a lot of the cheating ...people with their 15/16 greyhounds they call lurchers, non peds they call whippets...well done

    That club is run by a bunch of fools, drawing public attention to pibuls, would not be surprised if they are the cause of the breed being banned down there
