  1. Good stuff mate great to get a new permission and even better to bag a few. If you are up there regular, you could find it hard going after a few visits as the rabbits will soon wise up. I like to rest my spots for at least a week before heading back, one of the places I leave for three to four weeks. The rabbits on there seem to be very nervous, I can drive down the road and watch them in the feild, once I pull the van down the farmers lane they all bolt for cover. Think I might need to camo the van Smokey
  2. Same issues with the .22's I put through the R-10 all over the shop (shotgun Rambo style) Smokey
  3. Looks like a cracking spot you have there, note to myself must get out after work for a few hours. Smokey
  4. Well I was up early and began this little project. Will post up a new topic in a bit. Thanks for the replies Smokey
  5. I use JSB exacts in my R-10 which are 5.52 and 16 gr same as the ogive's, like I said shame my gun dont like them as the quality seems good. Smokey
  6. Wanted to rub it down and re oil it. I have bought a Tru-oil kit so will start tomorrow. I will take some pics during the process and fingers crossed I dont ball's it up Smokey
  7. Bloody hell, great shot. No wonder you ordered ten tin's of LI's. Smokey
  8. I am pondering whether to bother attempting re finishing the stock on my HW100 as it is looking a bit tired. I have had a bit of a search on you tube but the videos don't seem to be much cop. Anyone done one? or has a link to a thread etc, so I can get some tips? Thanks Smokey
  9. Great video, I have a R-10 Mk II in .22 cal. After a few grouping problems it will be going away to have the barrel screw cut and a full service, so will be using my HW100t for the time being. Probably wont use the shroud once if comes back. Smokey
  10. You can get chicken netting if you cant get hold of trawling netting. I would say that hide John Darling has made even in todays money would be around £6.00 Smokey
  11. Yes you can go out and spend your hard earned on camo nets and poles or you could have a search through youtube. Garden canes, an old fishing net and a bit of imagination. Mr Darling will show you the way Smokey
  12. Here you go Rob http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/245238-defiant-ogive/ Smokey
  13. Skill's and a mixed bag. Fair play Looking at the stock on your gun I am wondering if I should have looked out for a sporter Smokey
  14. If you can find a good spot during the day beside there warren, step out the area so you have a better idea of the ranges once night falls. Sit it out and wait for the little buggers as Si said dont get hung up on it, practice makes perfect Smokey
  15. it is .177 Elliott, I have some LI's here in .22 that I tried in my R-10. Yours if you want em seen as you aint too far from me, pm inbound Smokey
  16. Tried them both, the Li's produced some good groups but the odd flyer 1 to 2 inch from the group at 25 yards is enough for me to steer clear of them. I think my 100 is quite old and possibly prefers larger head sizes. The FTT did ok but not as good as the JSB's, can you get the FTT's in different head sizes the ones I tried where 4.5mm ? Smokey
  17. Only because my mk2 TX is outta action...wait for it lol Your time will come, when its fixed Dont forget the camera film Smokey
  18. It is not bothering me, just the bunnies down on my permissions lol, just wanted to know if it was ok thats all. Thanks for the replies Smokey
  19. I was more concerned about the power variation, it shoots a little less with Bisley Magnums (groups are poor also) I will weigh a few out tomorrow and post up the results, kinda thought the power shift would be small with the .177 little difference in the weight of pellets Smokey
  20. Have a read of this mate, my first outing with the HW100 in .177 cal http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/247531-bunnie-do-a-backflip/ As said above if you can hit the kill zone then it is game over regardless of caliber. It is defiantly easier to judge flight path because of the slower curve, which will give the confidence to take shots without having to do all the sums. Both calibers are accurate but one requires more thought and calculation Smokey
  21. I just finished a few mags off through the HW100, the fill pressure was about 160 and finished at 110. The results where not great although I never weighed any of the pellets. Highest was 11.07 ftlb's and lowest was 10.60 ftlb's average is 10.82 ftlb's. The spread is 0.47 Here is the string 10.77 11.07 10.92 10.79 10.87 10.89 10.98 10.79 10.60 10.67 10.69 10.70 10.77 10.99 10.79 10.90 This is the target I was aiming at, groups look very good. Question is do you think I should get the power upped a little, my R-10 shot 20 JSBs with an average of 11.81 with a spr
  22. Just you lol the guys with springers aint got onto the digital camera's yet Smokey
  23. My local and very good service. I have not ordered online as they are not too far away. You could try Arron in Brighouse he has a lot of scopes from Hawke and MTC plus a fair few 2nd hand ones. Not to far from Bradford Smokey
