Been thinking about getting a bush dog to go along with the lurcher what would you say a good bush dog would be. would a spaniel be a good bush dog or are they too big ?

. This is about my new pup 5-6months old To day i took the two dogs out and took a rabbit along with me to see if i can get the pup retrieving like she does with the bull. I have her off the lead now, but when she picked up the rabbit all she did was run off with it and rip it apart and eat it. When i went to her she moved off with it, i never had this with my 1st dog she would bring it to me. why could she be doing this and how to sort it out.

I took a chance with the pup, as i got it down to 40 lol and my dog now i only paid 50, and she is a good worker so the lad said she was 6months old but i dont think she is and day 2 she is not to bad the only thing i dont like is the begging for food, but the older dog is loving havin her round. Soi will have to see how she gets on
