  1. Mac im not taking any orders on yet mate lol. Im sure darryl will do a better job than me.. im pretty new to fettling This rifle is/will be sweet enough for me to shoot anyways
  2. Power should be at about 11 FtLbs now davy but I will confirm that on sat when I get chance to get out. work gets in the way of everything Need to sort the grinding out now with the other cocking arm that was from my hw77k, that's going to do my head right in! don't know how the other one snapped but that's really pissed me off as you know In the texts I sent you. then I will be cleaning the barrel and try some different pellets for accuracy, then when I find the right one it will be chrono time again, to see where its at with its 'favorite' pellet, compared to rws hobby.. then the ne
  3. Hate working, love shooting. weekend cant come quick enough!

  4. Wasn't meaning to sound like I was having a go at you Each to their own. as long as you enjoy your shooting that's all that really matters
  5. don't know what brand mine is mate, its got a solar panel on the side so I don't have to use batteries. I keep it on the windowsill at home and its never gone dead on me yet seen them hawke lrf 400's and if mine ever breaks that's probably what I would get to replace it. a lot of the time when I see vermin its close range squirrels between 10-30 yards.if I cant get a quick shot off then they normally bugger right off, before they sit still so I get the rangefinder out and if there still there 10 seconds later they end up on the floor  most of the time on my permission they do
  6. Just a fookabout pumping up all the time, the low shot count kinda puts me off. and I cant be arsed to mess around with divers bottles- I walk to my permission and they need filling back up after filling gun x amount of times. plus got my hw100 for hunting and I prefer the feel of a good jerry springer when im plinking! no room in my armoury for a little ultra im afraid. got plenty of fire power with what I already have! I had a go with Si's ultra se last time I went to one of THL meets and it seemed a nice rifle.. but I had a go of Daz7's hw100kt and I fell in love, hence why I g
  7. Glad you enjoyed my post moxy. The rifle did shoot very nice today.. A bit better than it was before, definitely. Doing this is worth a few hours of anybodys time if you want your rifle to shoot very nicely without paying loads for a professional tune. They are easy to strip and you wont need to spend much on the 'tools' - Screwdriver, Spanner, Grease and some Wet&Dry .. if you don't already have them lying around anyway! Thanks for reading guys. I will update the chrono results on Saturday for anyone interested. Happy shooting for 2014 everyone 1 shot
  8. yes mate. my mates took the piss out of me saying.. "how many rabbits(or any vermin) are going to sit there and let you laser them and then shoot them.. they will run off" my answer.. "if they don't know your there they sit there long enough"! and I get my fair share of kills mate lol .177 is easy, aim smack on out to 40 yards and 'its' dead . anything after that your better off knowing your aimpoints and using a rangefinder. .22 is a different story, a lot harder judge distances. and the drop of the pellets after 35 yards is pretty mental so a rangefinder really helps to stop
  9. Get rid of the Gaystate and get another ultra SE you know it makes sense !
  10. Well .177 is easier to shoot and PCP are so easy to shoot anyone can do it... so .177 pcp equals instant results making everyone a world class sniper! but how many of them can shoot a springer just as well..????????????
  11. Why not a BSA Ultra  this could go on for a while If only Mr Pttaway didn't leave he would be backing me up on the ultra Seen the latest instalment of VHTV ? good shooting with the ultras.
  12. Aye! easy fix tho sorted it should be doing about 11 now . cant check it again until Saturday work gets in the way of everything lol
  13. Why not a BSA Ultra  this could go on for a while

  16. Davy the rifle was bought second hand and the right hand piston seal was the one that was fitted.. must have been dieseling when the first owner first got it. it had never been stripped until I got it and the seal was pretty bad a lot of evidence of dieseling! and a bad chopped spring! regarding greasing the piston seal, I had some other grease I used to se for the piston seal that I couldn't find in my shooting box :/ so its got just bisley gun moly in the little white tub on piston and a slight smear on the seal, obviously not infront of it still makes a slight twang maybe a piston
  17. I had a ags mildot 3-9x40 was about £60-70 and it was a decent scope. about on par with my old hawke sport hd 3-9x40 and the ags had a thinner reticle, which I prefer. it did its job pretty well but didn't have any bells and whistles , just got on with it lol. so they are a fair quality scope so it should be ok mate, hopefully
  18. Piston and cylinder after a quick polish with 1200 all the parts ready to be greased to go back in. newest piston seal on the left! new seals fitted and shineyness piston lightly greased Ready to go in
  19. Well guys after last few days I have been fettling the hw97k .22 after Darryl from geordiehunterstv recent videos inspired me to fettle my rifles a bit more..and now its all back together ready for some plinking tomorrow to start off the new year doing what I love best! polished the piston and cylinder down to 1200grit wet and dry polished trigger sears and cocking slots aswel Spring was already done and is a shortened vmach spring I have fitted the delrin spacer and tophat and spring guide from the vmack kit aswel - from my old .177 hw97kt also I have fitted new-ish piston and bree
  20. An interesting point regarding certain pellets raising the ft/lb reading on air guns, if this is the case there should be a law passed stating all air guns should be tested using specific pellets then perhaps all gunsmiths should set the ft lbs using said pellets. Way I see it.. I use jsb exact in my hw100 and falcon accuracy plus in my 98 .. if they test it with them and its under that should be it.. but then they might try another brand and send it over the limit and then I get fu*ked !! personally I think its hard to stay under 12 ftlbs I bet at least % of brand new rifles will
  21. Happy new year Villaman mate, hope they get a win tomorrow, got them on my accumulator and if all the other teams I picked win then I'm going to get a BSA ULTRA
