  1. What do all you mole trapping lads do when you've finished the job, do you flatten the hills then hang up the moles? or just leave the hills and give the moles to the client to deal with?
  2. Im reading a lot about finding the main run instead of the feeding area, and i have no clue what everyone is on about? if someone could shed some light on this it would be much appreciated! Ross
  3. ive got 2 albino 10 week old jills, selkirk area if they are still looking
  4. is there enough room for the pigeons to land? have it in a U shape or two straight lines with a runway down the middle, are they seeing you in the hide? dont have all decoys facing into the wind, create a pattern that looks like its moving, keep us updated
  5. Even with burrow (Block trapping) at this time of year you got to take the rabbit out the trap and its underside is covered in fly eggs . Maybe thats why he wants to cage trap ?. 100% right
  6. Whats the easiest way to catch live rabbits at this time of year, i would of went with ferreting but to many young ones, i have a cage trap but not had any luck with it! Thanks in advance
  7. been out a few times this year best bag so far was 2 weeks ago on pea drilling and was 33 woodies, 63 crows and a jay, other then that its just been 10s 17s and 20s really
  8. 6.5X55 ever considered this? excellent caliber, ive shot sika,roe,red , foxes and hares with it more than capable and my dad has shot every species out to 500 yards

  12. so you use 50 fenn traps? and what are trap burrows? Block trapping means one trap in each hole in a rabbit burrow and fill in the holes that dont have a trap or look unlikely to catch anything , Very handy for clearing up a problem of young rabbits ahh right, but im right in saying you use 50 traps?

  16. wont be low numbers you just wont see them, they are everywhere its just theyre sneaky little b*ggers! thats why im starting to trap as its a new experience and protecting young birds and eggs
  17. Early morning ...low light ... ..that's were the difference in price comes in H.. completely agree just never had the hawkes so was wondering if they are good in low light cnditions
  18. do you normally set it in an area you know there will be a stoat or weasel or is it all guess work to some degree?
  19. thanks for the advice, ive just set 2 under tunnels next to a stone dyke that has a wooded valley on one side and a field on the other! is it possible to catch rabbits in them?
  20. Wanting to catch some stoats and weasels maybe the odd rat and squirrel too, and was just wondering peoples technique on finding where a stoat may run etc and where and how you would set the trap?
  21. Anyone had any experience with the hawke ones of any kind? wanting ziess ones but someone said that the hawke ones are just about as clear and about 3X less the price! wantong them for mainly deer stalking as starting to do a lot more! anyone recommend them? cheers
  22. Noticed a lot of pigeons feeding on tree buds (of all sorts) instead of being on the drilling! They have no interest in decoying onto the drilling either, is this the case for anyone else or just in my area?

    Choke Tubes

    Hi, wanting a choke tube for my benelli M2 for the upcoming season most of my shooting is on the solway! Have looked at kicks and Patternmasters but cant make my mind up! wanting one that will do geese and ducks also for decoying pigeons and crows! Any help much appreciated!
