  1. Ahh, if only. Luckily I get to play with it but its not mine
  2. He claims to achieve a "superior finish" I just nod and smile.
  3. Our fair ladies know it too! Bet that's why you were forced to sell her to Bob. Did she catch you in the back room alone with it, rag in one hand? Mawders calls it a 'Danger wax'....
  4. It certainly is! And christ alive, with a Sidewinder on her she is damn surgical! She's a real mans gun mind, nice and solid for a pcp.
  5. Oh Bless you! You've been so very kind to me. Is there something I can do/give to you or to pay your kindness forward?
  6. Though the outward forms that make up my surroundings, environment and consequently what could be called my 'life' have changed dramatically, one constant has remained. My love and passion for the outdoors, which I access through my shooting. Whilst nothing truly stops me, or indeed any body, from walking out of the door and simply wandering this land (which I have done frequently during this transitional phase) the mind prefers to have a goal, a reason, an 'excuse'. I have missed my forays, I have missed them sorely. Thankfully, life has acknowledged my desire and through a good friend, has
  7. Went to visit a new permission this evening and things look VERY promising indeed! Could potentially mean some new posts! Hoorah
  8. From my experience of the latest HW offerings gasman1, I have to disagree. It appears either Shanghai Airguns has significantly upped their game, or Wiehrauch are dropping theirs. I fear the answer is a mix of both. Let's not forget the Turkish Hatsans, that are gaining a major toehold in the market with good reason, innovation and quality at a very competitive price. From owning a TH208 and a Diana 280k, I can see very striking similarities indeed. A few online sources have suggested the 208 is a very good clone. I would have to agree. On the subject of triggers, I can say from firsthan
  9. Thanks chaps, will be in touch Pianoman, generous credit terms available Andy!
  10. Hammer Spring. Strip it down and regrease if you wish, but personally I'd leave it as is.
  11. Superb guns those Scorpions, I know exactly what you mean by pointable and accurate. Thanks for posting.
  12. That's a bag I'd be overjoyed with! Excellent shooting.
  13. Darn Fox! My heart would sink when I'd see those eyes in the lamp, it often meant nothing would come out as both of us would wander and loiter hoping the other would bugger off. Thanks for posting!
  14. For targets, I'd say the 99s as they do a .177. TH208's are .22 only. Feel them both up, buy from a reputable dealer and don't be suckered in by brand snobbery.
  15. I'm wondering if the pellets are clipping the silencer. have you tried grouping without it?
  16. Me! If you were closer massa I'd have a look, but I'd recommend getting the original spring. That's the only thing I can think of really. She was razor accurate before.
  17. Did your friend take it apart massa?
  18. The 55s is one I can recommend from experience. A straight forward strip down and lube would smooth her out nicely for targets. A lot of gun for the money wirh startlingly good accuracy. Not experienced a 125 so no idea on that.
  19. its still a SMK You're not wrong there. In fact, you're right!
  20. That is right DavyT. The TH208 gets my thumbs up, but not the ENTIRE SMK line simply by association.
  21. Listing them by RRP could be a pretty good pointer. You do get some gems and surprises, there are some well priced and underrated rifles out there. But not to my knowledge in that list.
