  1. That gun loved JSB's rather boringly. Part tins? Yup! 8 of em with only five missing!
  2. Definitely needs a bit of grease at the minimum. I zero from kneeling as I noted that that was the position I used most. I also find with springers that prone is a faff for re-loading. Subscribed to your youtube channel Elliott, looks superb, that 17hmr looks fun!
  3. This particular one is. Being 35 years old, its also the full length (I don't think the karbines came out until later).
  4. My trusty Netbook crapped out. Haha. Nah, I'm thriving in a world of seemingly limitless and inexhaustible electricity some making full use of what I couldn't before. I will churn out some more written work don't you worry Mr Mole.
  5. Sold to stoe, an excellent buyer, thanks fella!
  6. As featured in; Shoots very nicely, cocks smoothly, fires straight and true. In very good condition, this is a piece of airgun history and lore. Bluing is in excellent colour and form, this was THE rifle to own in the 80's and some maintain that it has yet to be surpassed even by its later stablemate the HW97. Aside from the silencer and wide loading port, what really sets this example apart from all others is that superb walnut woodwork. I'm guessing its a Custom Stock CS700 after having a look at their website and seeing that that model bears the
  7. Not squeaking when you cock it is it? I only ask after reading this; http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/285014-a-tale-of-two-halfs/ Looks a beauty!
  8. And then there is the feel of the buxom Bavarian in your hands. Curves in all the right places.
  9. An in depth analysis of the legendary Weihrauch HW77. This particular gun has come from a collector and was professionally customized and modified, I believe in the 1980's, making it the fore-runner and grandfather of the later and widely renowned HW97. After spending (investing) a rather large some of money in the leading brands of pellets, this is one of many future videos exploring which pellet is best suited to this particular air rifle. Enjoy and thanks for watching!
  10. Back when I first joined and was concerned my old MK2 TX200 was a bit low on power, the man in question was the first to get in touch and post out 3/4 washers. Most kind of him and an act not soon forgotten. Thanks again Davy.
  11. A Daystate appears to me like acquiring the love of a beautiful lady with serious skills and talents.... The HW100 does what you ask of her, and does it damn well, but you won't be carrying a photo of her in your wallet.
  12. Unfortunately I'm another who has not had an XS20...BUT; I have heard very good things about them and thought there was at last one other member on here who reported excellent results. I reviewed an SMK TH208 and got the usual 'Pooh Poo's'. Then Mawders and I waltzed into Sandwell Field Sports to see none other than an SMK TH208 taking pride of place in prime position for sale on the counter. Mr Wall was praising them to high heaven and confirmed my belief it was a clone of a Diana (280, a rather unsubtle switch of numbers....) I must say I fought valiantly against the urge
  13. Good on ya! Take your time, don't be afraid to experiment, good luck and above all: Keep us posted!
  14. I think its got bits all can relate to! Hehe cheers Nick.
  15. Hehehe; Apologies chaps, I wanted to gauge reactions and responses before adding a blurb.
  16. Oh, that'd be spoiling it for others.... You're a blood thirsty boy! Haha In seriousness though, what you watch is, in my experience the reality of what we term 'mooching'. If the internet and television were to be believed, anyone with a gun and a permission who bothers to go outside would come back with a weeks worth of meat or a pile of dead rodents that queued up for a pellet to the noggin! Not a dig or criticism at anyone, lord knows if my book recounted every miss or nil point outing its pages would number the thousands. I edited it as an encouragement for newbies. A mor

  19. Got a few tanned but due to recent events, not got around to crafting anything, not sure if this is of any help to you as its more about the preservation: http://1nomad.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/make-your-quarry-pay-one-way-to-derive.html Anyhoo, let us know how you get on if you re-attempt it.
  20. Looks good, be great if you could post some groupings with it as I've read of difficulties on the accuracy front with those GRT's. Probably the usual scares that follow a newly launched gun, People have been gas strutting them for years....
  21. Superbly accurate little guns. Stick to reputable brands, experiment over time to fine tune and you'll be sitting pretty nailing them bunnies. All the best and enjoy!
