I was working around Kildare and the curragh and it's frightening the amount of top stud yards and stables. It's the home of horses. There's even good money in pest control to stop rabbit holes in the paddocks. If that big old stallion is worth 10 million then there is no issue paying 30 grand a year to make sure that big old boy doesn't break his leg when prancing about. He will serve 4 mares a day easy and 100 grand a pop pays everyone's wages and more.

Definetly worth having when fishing windy lakes and you have to pull up on an island to eat. They are fine when your fishing and chilled out with plenty of time but not suitable for work. My boss would do some looking if I was sitting down putting twigs in the hobby stove when I should be laying bricks ? My mate bought one after seeing mine and first day out he boiled water with the cork in and it exploded and he was lucky that he had walked off away from it to get something out of boat. If he had of been close he would of got scaulded. 3rd degree burns wouldn't be nice when trying to pull th

True but I know a few boys from that area that had links with people working those yards and they had pretty strong Provo connections but like you say it's just a version because one thing them boys don't do is talk or brag about stuff if they do it. Loose lips sink ships and all that but sad to see the horse lost. After only producing 30 something foals and 15 winners it's hard to judge if he was going to become a top stallion without having much of a gauge to go off but I reckon he would of been a good one. It's hard to beat saddlers wells as a producer if indeed he wasn't an outstanding ra

That's probably the best version of events. Stolen by IRA for ransom and inexperienced handlers loaded and injured him. With a broken leg he was worth nothing so he was shot and buried.

I paid €3.50 but the euro is higher than sterling.

I bought the full kit with cups and plates etc. I use one of those cheap tool boxes from Aldi to transport it around. They are a great job and the only bad thing about them is the black ash can be a bit of a mess. I bring a few bin liners with me to wrap up the bottom part. The bottoms of frying pans and saucepans get filthy aswell. If your camping and have plenty of time to clean up after using it they are brilliant but if I was working and only have a short tea break then a little gas stove is cleaner and quicker to pack away.

On a serious note I'd imagine rest and proper diet are a huge part of filling your potential. My cousin was working for me blocklaying and he went through the gym phase. 5 nights a week training for 18 months and apart from a couple of veins showing in his wrists he didn't gain any condition. He was eating well all week and training but partying at weekends. We were leaving for work at 5.30 am and lumping blocks all day and getting home at 7 pm. The chap was going into the gym fatigued and worn out after been slaughtered all day in a physical job and it was counter productive. He couldn't figu

Your like a Belgian blue. Do you mind me asking what age you are? but if in that condition people don't mind saying and adding years. There proud to say they are 52 and ripped. You said it before on here but that was years ago. You've just ruined this thread for the other old guys that have to compete with that ya show off. Them boys were just looking for a horn so it would act as a brake and stop them rolling out of the bed and not compete with Ronnie colemans brother that's a boxer aswell. Well done for setting the bar on the midlife crisis thread so high when the guys were taking 1 step at a

IN means you are controlled by Europe. OUT means you are still controlled by Europe but get to pretend your not. All the fancy sections and article this and that in between that are like the instruction book that comes with a new kitchen appliance. Nobody bothers reading them.

Medium. With an egg that size it can end up cold in the middle and cooked on the outside if you under do it. Some say 9 minutes but it depends on what people's perception is of when has the water actually started fully boiling rather than simmering. If you like it really runny then give it 9 minutes and if it's under done then scrape it into a mug and drop that into the water to finish it off or else a quick go in microwave. The eggs I used were very large, as big as 3 duck eggs.

I went 15 minutes.

This should be called the male menopause thread and it's triggered by you catching some 23 year old glaring at your woman's tits at the deli counter. Reaction ( I better get back in shape to stay in the game and lose this dad flab)???

What if anything is eating the swimming pool?

When you say plastic do you mean hard plastic casing pool liner or am I thinking that this might be one of those outdoor pools with a mushroom growing poly tunnel type shelter over the pool? -

My guess would be crane (heron) drop in at night have a poke about and if no fish about then slip away before it's bright. I had something banging on my patio doors for a week at 5 am during summer and I thought it was a burglar. Every time I came down the hallway and opened the kitchen door and walked over to patio doors there was nothing there. After the 4th time I left kitchen/hall door wide open so as not to make noise if I had to sneak down. Next morning same thing and I creeped down hallway and peeked out and here was a grey crow bouncing off the glass fighting with his reflection. Air g -
Anyway back to topic after the history bullsh1t. I hope Britain gets Brexit because most of our illegal immigrants came on ferries. It's no harm that you are asked for a passport before you get on a ferry. If I went to fly in to Heathrow in morning I'd be asked for passport. If I took a boat to Holyhead I wouldn't be. What's the difference? Calais said they can operate as normal either way! I think the mindset is different. I don't condone vigilantism but here a lot of people do and in Ireland a couple of hotels were burnt out in tiny towns that were going to land 300 refugees into a populati

That's a fair statement Wilf from a British man. They are shocked that why aren't we getting support. A good Cumbrian mate of mine asked me why we spent so much time studying history in school and knew so much about it in detail. He said to me alls he had to do was learn the last 20 kings and queens. I said that's because ye won every battle easy but we were thought about the warriors that fought and lost outnumbered 10 to 1.

We are getting along just fine but don't get upset if we don't share your views. Nobody is going to start a war over it. Be proud of what you want for your country and escape the EU. Some of my very close mates I'm proud to say are English men living here but that doesn't I want what they do.

It's not religion. I'm Catholic and my partner is Protestant and we split our kids into different religions to show both our families (that frowned on that) that you can overcome bitterness. Irish people and English people have the same cultures and values and are very similar but Irish people are stubborn and don't like the British establishment (not the people because most have brilliant friendships) telling them what to do. It's probably the first time the weaker Irish ever had a chance to stand on its own two feet and basically at the start of brexit they were told by Westminster to shut u

Nothing wrong with been a proud English man or country and wanting to break away from the EU and that's fine but that doesn't mean that surrounding countries don't want different things are equally as proud. Irish people want to unite Ireland and that's why they are been less than helpful. Northern Ireland is piggy in the middle and shared by 2 different sides, so it's whichever way they decide to go and should be given a choice.
-
No stability yet if there is still people alive that lost family members on either side. It's not like they will just go with the flow because it's good economics. In a couple of generations that might happen and be forgotten about but it's too early yet. They might not be fighting now but they are still bitter.
-
The way it's going in Westminster I wouldn't be surprised if Scotland , Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland bonded in a 3 way to get away from that mess. The truth is the big banks are in London and that's who calls the shots and it's fcuk everybody else. Even the rest of English country folk further north at this stage probably want to distance themselves from London decisions. Make London a part of France and the problem will be fixed for everyone except West Ham fans will have to play away games in Stade de France.?

Too embarrassed to ask ace boon coon to send back across the water some of that legendary black blood that has actually worked them. They become American coypu lines then. Need to keep a bit of pride. Seen what happened last time bulls were sent over that way. They came back a few generations later American pitbull terriers.?

I was called to a farmers yard years back by my cousin one day to shoot a bull with .270 rifle with the promise of deer stalking in return in a good area but rough farm. The bull was nervous he said and had a bad infection in a front hoove that spread up the leg. And could barely stand on 3 legs. It looked like there was 12 inchs missing off the leg with an infected ball the size of a football on the end where the foot should be. I said to the young farmer that it must of been a few weeks like that if it got into that state and why didn't he put it down 3 weeks earlier. He said that he had givi

A lot of the time it's down to the department of agriculture to send in their own inspectors for general farm inspections and it's out of rspca hands unless a serious case. The department will turn a blind eye to a lot of stuff because they would have to close 80% of farms and bring down the industry if they were to fully enforce the standards.
