The two i bought are a handy size and sharp as fook ,also got two of the slip leads for lamping with the whippets and they are a great job too especially if you are lamping single handed.Easy to use, strong and again sensible money,Dont know how many slip leads ive lost over the years and ended up walking the dogs back with my belt or similar so again if you loose one of these its not the end of the world.Got the rabbit carrier too and i dont know how i ever managed without one makes it so much easier to transport a load of dead bunnies.

Worms can survive in the intestines not the stomach and i would imagine if a slug that has lung worms eggs inside it is eaten it would only be the lung worm eggs inside that would survive as ive never heard of a dog suffering from a bad case of slugs. Also if your dog eats another dogs shite it is the worm eggs that pass through the stomach to infect your dog not the worms themselves.

wont do the dog any harm if eaten and will disolve in the stomach just like any other flesh or bone.I used to have the same problems with flies while defrosting but i went to my local poundland and got sealable plastic containers,Cheap as chips mate ,job done

Fook me im showing this to the kids, ive a hard enough job getting them to eat their greens maybe this can shock them to eat them or they will be getting rat next week! Big respect to the guy drawing them out by hand, has to be hard on the fingers and hands
-
Thank fook they are out hunting as the only other time you see that many of the fookers together is outside a white all girls school

I bought the clipper 860f (companion)=£15.00 and the craftline high Q Allround =£8.75 and they are both spot on and do what i need in the field. And to be honest i couldn't justify paying much more than that for a knife to gut rabbits ect.Im not Bear grills nor am i wanting to hack my way through an English Oak so both these enexpensive knives are just the job and delivery was 48 hours to Northern Ireland. My jaw drops open when i read what some people are prepared to pay on here for a knife

I know hes almost family Darren but im not parting with any of my bleeper boxes one packed up on me on Sunday so im down to just 11spare boxes and 49 collars And did i ever tell you i have some neon orange spun poly nets Whippet lad done well out with me on Sunday as he saved Usain Bolt my fastest ferret from fooking off down a bank with a collar on towards a busy road.He is getting into this hunting lark a bit too much,i think we will need to blind fold him soon, when we are taking him to some of our hot spots.Once his own ferrets start we may find out that our hot spots are empty and he h

Ireland Lawerencetown Show, Cancelled
vermin catcher replied to dessie m's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
  mate i had stopped going to the shows for about 10 years and decided to go to Ballywalter and Shanes this year just to let my two wee lads see the whole fieldsports variety as they are hunting mad.And to be honest im the same as you,i found that our end of things (lurchers) and the racing in particular to be a complete joke and i cant see me going back to any in the near future. Im not on to slate anyone who is into racing but it didn't take a genius to realise most of the winners if not full greyhounds were as close to full as you can get.To me its just not fair on the lads who -
Ive WORKING FERRETS various colors and various sizes and the working part is the most important to me .There is too much hype about color, and size and whether its got EU polecat blood,Who gives a shit.IF MY FERRET HAS NO WILD POLECAT BLOOD IN IT,,, ISNT A GREYHOUND,,,, ISNT A MICRO,,, ISNT A SILVER MITT WITH GOLDEN TINGED BOLLOX BUT GOES INTO A BURROW AND BOLTS 5 OUT OF 5 RABBITS FROM IT THEN ITS A GOOD UN!!! nothing wrong with wanting some thing different as a talking peice but dear friends thats all it will be,,, a talking peice. If you have a so called EU polecat for instance and its doin

vermin catcher replied to vermin catcher's topic in Longnetting
 You've got way too much time on your hands! Pack the job in and do live stand up shows. Darren since you were the good friend that helped me make it and also got us into the indoor football pitch i would like to say this ..... If you ever decide to do the same thing please please take my number out of your phone contacts now Incidently after a great two days ferreting this weekend ive now decided to get a few stop nets to compliment the long nets.Do you know if that guy ?"nelson" we got the long nets from does the smaller stop nets??And if i hear you say "sure we can buy a -
 same here, i try and gut rabbits in the field that i catch myself when out, but have other hunting /shooting mates who usually drop me in whole carcass stuff from their own days out,Never had any problems with either to be honest and as long as you clean out what isn't eaten there should be no issues.

How to convert a traditional to quickset???? HELP!
vermin catcher replied to vermin catcher's topic in Longnetting
Me and a good friend took it to an indoor football pitch and got it done,it was a lot easier inside with nothing getting tangled nor the wind blowing it all over the place. When i took it to my local playing fields to do it a few days earlier i had fooking yorkshire terriers with bows in their hair in it ,,a fookin akida dog in it ,,an ole doll,, four small children and three west highland white terriers ,two joggers, a pram and had an audience of about 30 nosey fookers. The amount of twats that came over to ask questions was unreal, and when i explained i was making a longnet for rabbits every -

why is my jill biting the other jill on the neck ?
vermin catcher replied to fox assasin's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
Check her sleeping compartment, see if she's been reading 50 shades of grey on the quite.Got it for the missus last week and she's been trailing me around by the neck up into our sleeping compartment all week.Fooking lost all the hair on the back of my neck because of it! -
  The amount of noise they made was unreal im very surprised they got any of the rabbits to bolt and why is the locator on even before the ferret is entered to ground ? . Perfect video of how not to do it in my opinion but each to their own i suppose and i laughed at some of their antics .
-
Mate im exactly the same,i bought mine 3 weeks ago from that same guy nelson on ebay and its super.Ive been out two times with it since i got it and every single rabbit that has hit it has stayed in it till i dispatched it.Im getting another two 50yard nets off him this week ,im that impressed with them.Caught 16 using it two days ago out ferreting .

ferret kit not moving his back legs
vermin catcher replied to minka79's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
Always goes for hobs first as they are growing at a quicker rate than the jills so their bones dont develope properly with the lack of calcium.I have reared a couple of orphaned litters over the years and seen this happen on both occasions.A jills milk cannot be replicated perfectly and there is nothing you can do untill they are weaned and believe me if you have hand reared kits for a few weeks you want them on solids as quickly as possible. This is when the calcium defeciency starts to really kick in, just after weaning and you will start to notice it first in the legs and next the spine goe -
How to convert a traditional to quickset???? HELP!
vermin catcher replied to vermin catcher's topic in Longnetting
Bolloxed about today with that 50yard long net trying to make it a quick set and decide id rather just fookin buy one cant be arsed with the messing about. The Grommets i had got didnt have a deep enough groove for the top and bottom lines, couldnt get the tension the same on top and bottom lines.Dont know how many times i counted meshes between the first two poles to get it the same then used inner tube of a bike to attach the lines for about three sections then lost the will to fookin live!!!.Should have known when no seasoned long netters had replied to my original post that it was doomed J
