How do the lads who works this cross find them. I'm interested in this mix as I think they will make a better busher than a terrier but not hunt as far as a beagle x but still hunt a fair distance.

Wash it out with warm salty water had this a few times. Make sure you clean it after meals aswell as been said, could cause infection if it's not clean

I'm northeast England, on the coast and there has been reports of munjac near me but iv not personally seen them

I'm not saying my terrier isnt a good bushing dog because he is but like any terrier just not as good as these purpose bred types

Yeah recal is a must in any dog tbh but expeshily there hound xs. I know my pals teckles don't go to ground which is one of the reasons my mate acquired it

Totaly agree however when iv seen the beagle xs hunt they did hunt very far probably to far for what I need. Regarding spaniel x beagle I havnt seen one hunt so carnt judge

It is, she's a realy good dog tbh and my pal also had a pup outa her back to a teckle about 8 months doing very well tbh.

I have always thought that my little terrier has worked well for me and given me many a good days hunting. Then iv started running him with a couple teckle and teckle xs. Although in tight cover he does extreamly well, he hunts a little to close as you would expect from a terrier. Hunted a wood at the weekend the little hounds were hunting well nice and deep into this wood and the terrier was probably only hunting about 200 yards into the wood and along it whilst these little teckles were deeper in and screaming towards us. I helped a lad out bout 5 years ago witch a bitch was running stuff almost to a stand still and not picking anything up. A says I'll slip diesel in see what she does when he catches it. Slips diesel and his bitch and diesel caught the rabbit bitch ripped it out of his mouth, must of thought that's mine get off. From then on she picked up no problem.

Yeah he's the second one iv lost due to hunting accident, we were ticking a few things off the list this year aswell.
