Dogs pulling of stuff they know they can’t catch. Good or bad?

If a dog pulls up off its quarry then to me is of no use. A heartless lurcher is a useless lurcher -

Here is my terrier, great little dog in his own [BANNED TEXT] and has worked very hard and very well for me. I'd like to throw abit spaniel in the mix and see how they get on round me for wood etc as the terrier doesn't hunt as far as I'd like and a hound xs would hunt to far. Dax

Sounds a handy mix, I'm not a big fan on heavily saturated collie types but they can and do make handy pot fillers. Best of luck with it if you go ahead with a pup. Keep us updated

Got a message on insta last week of a young lad looking for the breeding to his dog. He sends me this picture saying my dog and dog in the picture are an uncanny resemblance, he been looking for the sire for couple years to find out more about the dog etc Turns out his dog is outa my little dog to a beddy bull whippet that I put him to about 4 or 5 years ago and the bitch was bred by one of my good pals so at the time I was runni g dogs with that bitches dam and half brother. Anyone from the county Durham area up for a walk out over the weekend? Most the boys I hunt with have lost the love for a bit bushing and there dogs are getting on so it's getting harder to get anyone out for a mornings hunt. Don't get me wrong I love a Morning on my Todd with the dogs but it's not the same as a couple bushers working away

Weather has been great here today also, didn't get out tho as went to fix a pals car after work but hopefully have a nice day tomorrow and I'll get out for a couple hours

Use this dog for above round only ratting and bushing, been a steady dog for me tbh hunts well catches plenty in cover and pushed plenty out only makes a noise when he has seen something not when he has scented something which is probably why he catches loads more in cover than my pals teckle xs

Don't count the little dogs out, my little dog is 9 now and he's only 21tts but been a hell of a dog for me. I have always said I wish I could put this dog into a bigger body tho, I'd have the best dog ever haha

Nice animal, saluki bull Grey? I'll have one more night out tonight with this bitch and that will be me done ill still have a knock about during the day but that will be me till Sept. Bitch has finished up well so I'll give her the summer to mature that bit more then next season she will be tested that's for sure.

Got this bitch bout October time, she's went from a 27tts spaniel not watching lamp and just wanting to hunt up to running the lamp very well and I can slip her as far as the eye can see so to speak. Never owned this type of mix before with deerhound in and I have heard they are late bloomers. Tbh she's not done to bad this season, and I do Belive next season she will be a different dog again. How's yours gone??
