    Good tip, I'm used to terriers that push on through any cover so something I would keep in mind, is there a line of cocker to look out for??

    Yeah it sure does mate, some of my questions may sound abit daft but I keep my circle fairly small so only get to see what we keep between us and spaniels is just one that no one seems to hunt with

    I'm not to fussed if it was to flush birds along its way but not actively hunt birds

    I know they won't go to far and stay close ish but if fetched up to work cover on there own or with a small pack of bushing dogs will they, I don't want to be telling one where to go and want one that would hunt for its self. I'd want it to hunt ground game not birds.
  9. Any of you have experience working a cocker on a variety of quarry? Pre ban hunting etc I'm not interested in there xs whether it be terrier or hound they mixed with I just want to know more about a cocker as a all round bushing dog hunting fox etc I'm asking as my lass has wanted a pure cocker for some time but she wanted the show shit and I just stopped that dead in her tracks and have talked her into looking and working cocker. If we going to get a cocker in the future I want it to be of some use to me that will run with my terrier and a mates few bushing dogs. I have

  12. Brikies and joiners do git alot of mates doing them trades makeing good money but I started my career as a machanic and there is no money in that unless you own your own business

  15. Gain puppy and sapling and plenty raw food, get rid off tinned food. Feed table scraps, fish, pastas etc
  16. Tbh lads I think it depends on where in the country you live, I live in an old mining community and almost all jobs around me are factory work. I have had a few jobs most factory work but I put myself thro my telehandler for nothing as all the sites by me only wanted holiday cover, worked away referbishing multi story car parks, land drilling etc neither payed incredible money. Came back home started for a firm doing the tarmac for local council and ended up getting kept on and put on my own jobs doing price work laying new paths, kerbs putting in islands in the road etc all way going we

  19. I have no need to run him and he is just a shadow of his former self but he's still very reliable and catches plenty.

  22. Best fox dog I ever had was a bull whippet type bred off diesel to a beddy bull whippet. Awsome little dog. Had his faults but he was a real good fox dog
