    Tara

The 3 dogs I have in mind are Wheaton grey 27tts Wheaton bull grey 28tts possibly a tad taller Bull grey around 26tts All doing exactly what I want a lurcher to be doing.
  2. Seen a few collie xs run over the years and the best was a 3/4 bred thing it was only used for foxes and it killed a shit load of them aswell, very good dog it was. Shame he never bred it

Seems to be a good mix.
  4. Been getting a few pms recently about my bitch Tara. How's she doing, how's she bred height etc and am I breeding her in the near future. Tara is doing great job for me, doing what she was bred for, plenty speed stamina and a strong jaw. She's Wheaton bull grey x deer grey 27tts. A few have asked if I'll be breeding her in the future. if she continues the way she is then yes I'd certainly take a litter from her. It's always something you think about when your running a bitch that is ticking all the boxes and I'm not going to lie there would be 3 possible studs I h
  5. Yes mate he has been fantastic for me. The most obediant and loyal dog I could of asked for and the heart of a lion. Was a class act in his youth and there have been a few times iv had a walk out with a couple coursing lads and been the laughing stock till the dogs done the talking. I'm not on about big fen land as he just hasn't the strength to run them for 3 mins plus but feild he was impressive to say the least. Tbh mate I wouldn't give another small dog justice. As you get older your hunting and hunting style changes. However if someone wanted to use him at stud then I'd h
  6. He made about 22tts and threw heavily to the bull side. He was a one trick pony tbh very good at it but I wanted more from a dog at the time. Sent him south. Regret moving him on tbh.
  7. Yes mate, he went to a beddy bull whippet. Was a bitch a mate bred out of some very good dogs. This was a pup from him
  8. Saluki collie grey x beddy whippet made 21tts.
  9. Back in his day he was out 4 to 5 times a week all season, season after season he was the fittest dog that I will ever own as I simply don't have the time to be out that much no more. He didn't look muscled up like some do but he could run forever slip after slip first pic was last year 2nd about 8 year ago ?
  10. My lass has a habit of washing my dogs collars, get up from a nights lamping go feed dogs and no collars on ?? I'll of only had the 1 dog out aswell but she washes the pair of them
  11. Had a good few nights lamping rabbits on the dales, yes that are easier than rabbits on flatter land but still takes a good dog to run all night run after run and I mean run catch retrive turn round and do it again non stop. I have done some serious amount of rabbits up there just never hit the 100 mark and that has not been down to dogs more down to time or lack of rabbits. I used to do the same spot low down near a river and had a few dogs run off the bank into water haha. The worst part is carrying them. I couldn't carry no more so turned around and away back to the
  12. Your right you could get most of the attributes from another breed but I still like the idea of Wheaton in a busher like.
  13. Well I have seen a couple half x Wheaton greys, no dog agression, great nose, good feet coat and natural hunting ability. Why does it seem that every one hates the idea of a bushing dog with Wheaton in it but love the breed in a lurcher. It's a honest question iv not seen a pure Wheaton work or been around 1 and have heard a good few people say that they very dog argessive but surely if they work so well in a lurcher why couldn't they be used as a bushing dog??
  14. That's the exact stamp of dog I'd think of this breeding like. Nice strong type aswell ain't she.
  15. Very nice stamp of dog that mate ?
  16. If your buying a leather collar every other season the a string stuff one would actually save you money, iv had one of his collars close to 10 year and its still in good nick. Payed about 25 quid for it.
  17. At some point, aslong as she keeps doing what she is doing.
  18. Yeah I don't think a pure Wheaton would be suitable but crossed with a spaniel in my head could make a good dog
  19. Wheaton bull grey x deer grey Doing what is asked of her ?
  20. Lads your pulling away from the post bull xs spaniel is not what I'm talking about.
  21. Any dog can be aggressive if nout brought up correctly.
