  1. I have a mate who has a border x jack rusell and its the best an fastest rabbiting terrier I've ever seen and he didn't even train it to hunt it just knew how to. he uses it for bushing etc so good luck with yours mate
  2. I've just found that when i got 10 posts I went from newbie up to rookie hunter thanks guys for the posts
  3. if you want a dog for bushing, a failed digging terrier or a terrier x beagle or spaniel will be the best bet, if you want a dog for ferreting, then id stick to a small lurcher, if you intend on lamping the dog aswell, get a slightly larger lurcher an itll do both well with the right time put in, tho its gonna be your dog an its gonne be with yu a long time, so if you get on with gundogs, then get 1, a gundog will learn to ferret an bush for you, dont rush in kid, take your time an choose wisely Thanks =)
  4. Can anyone tell me about the ranks (is that what you call them?) . I don't understand how to be newbie, born hunter, mega hunter etc. so can somebody explain??
  5. well i went bushing with my mates jack russel x border terrier but i'd like a jackrussel or beage or lurcher but i'm only 13 so I might not. I've got a golden retriever though and my mate said when rabbiting you go from ferret up to terrier, up to greyhound then up to lab or gundog... I'm not sure though if he's right though. I' m just interested really and if I go with a friend it might help to have some knowledge. I may train my dog to retrieve rabbits or something......
