  1. Won't it have to be TWOTWODASHTWOFIFTY?! Thanks for the replies so far guys. Interesting to see everyones individual info.
  2. Just wondering what rifle(s) all you FAC holders applied for on your first application and the reasons behind them: i.e .22LR - Rabbit/small vermin .222 - Foxes .243 - Deer etc.... TIA
  3. Thanks for that TWOTWOTHREE - interesting as Low Mill Range is a gun shop/service I use. Obviously won't be entering the comp tho as I'm not a FAC holder yet. tegater - I totally agree r.e development. From what I can gather everyone has their own preferences/opinions when it comes to the many calibres available. Just the other day I heard the .223 described as a 'chav rifle'! I chuckled at the description although I don't know why it was described that way. Others swear by the .223. I guess there is a dinosaur out there for most calibres! 4. Does anyone know if this seemingly elusive calibre has hit our shores yet? Are they available? Anyone got one, seen one, shot one? I've been holding off my FAC application in the hope off putting this down as a good allrounder but am yet to see one for sale. Limited info available from my internet searches... Any useful info appreciated. Thanks
  5. Thats what I mean - we are both classed as North West but still a good 2.5 hour or so drive away

Going the FAC route just to shoot rabbits seems a bit OTT to me (given the process and financial aspect - application fee, cost of rifle/ammo safe, rifle, scope, ammo...) and I doubt you'll be granted one just for that anyway. Obviously with the air rifle you can shoot pigeons both on the roost and on the ground. I don't know anyone who goes out specifically after woodies with a rimfire especially given that they can only shoot them on the ground. Shotgun would be ideal for decoying woodies,
  7. I'd probably have had that if you were actually in the proper North West area i.e Cumbria!
  8. Starts at 12:00 according to the Twitter page: https://twitter.com/BlackCombeFair
  9. I'll speak to my Land Rover Guru and see what he says - in the mean time where are you and how much you looking for?
  10. Looking for a set of alloys to go on my 1995 Discovery with off road style tyres - Cumbria area please. My Disco is currently fitted with standard white defender wheels and doesn't look so good
  11. What style of Land Rover Alloy is it and how much were you looking for?
