its the million dollar question mate, tbh i dont see that it matters what sex they are, its like saying do white fellas work better than black fellas? just depends on the ferrets mate, only thing i will say is tend to do more digging with hobs as they got a lot more weight behind them rabbits struggle to get past em, they way i work it is if i'm on a smal warren i use jills as they tend to work the warren quicker, but big warrens i get the hobs out aswelll just for extra man power, all depends on the situation

got a couple of permissions with sandy soil so its hard sometimes to knock the pegs in enough, had a couple bolt and take the net but didnt get far as like you said their legs tangle and bowl them over it gives you enough time to get hold of them, just depends on how much the net manages to close as they bolt, good hunting though buddy

most I had is 5 had, one of the jills was on the back of the first rabbit, pulled her off necked 3 and the hob was wedged between the last 2 lol never seen more than 5 though

yeah hes fairly short for a hob but like you said hes fairly stocky, bred him off my line 2 year ago, i rarely work jills but wish i had one this season hobs have got a bit too fat lol

alright mate, i use dust free wood shavings and barley straw in the bedding area, reason i use dust free is to stop the stinkers getting respiratory probelms especially youngens cause they try bury thereselves in it most the time

hey all jill came into heat about a month ago stuck the chosen hob in with her and shes looking like shes preggers, her nipples are really big and shes pulling fur and making her nest, bred my ther jill last year but i think i left the hob in for too long seemed to stress her out and she didnt take to being a good mum and lost all but 1 of my kitts so i guess the real question is when should i pull the hob out? cheers hound

alright all never kept chickens in my life but finally able to get some, looking for a breed that are fairly good layers dont want nowt too big, and eventually these chickens will end up in the oven any advice/tips will be much appreciated cheers hound
