  1. Its been along time since there has been a real breakthrough in bullet design, the 22lr presents lots of limitations to designers thats why we only see small tweeks in loads and bullets. i dont think we will see much change in the next few years at least.
  2. you would be surprised how big my back garden is open a box of subbies and have a propper look at them and then tell me without laughing there an accurate round ok yes i see what your saying but you have to manage with whats available and they are a hell of alot better than they used to be i can tell you.
  3. not sure what thats all about!. do either of u actually shoot outside of your back gardens, i cant see why you find so hard to come to terms with people that manage in the situations they are presented with. its not like 100yrd is along way, most fishermen can cast a 2oz lead that far. You can shoot a rabbit with an air rifle at 40yrds if you can strech another 60yrds further than that with a 22lr is it worth having one.
  4. My Cz452 only cost me £215 when i brought it, just before they went up! bloody good rifle though. and no gram your right its not that hard is it, alittle practice and away you go.
  5. i knew that someone else would take them past 100yrds,
  6. i agree about the HV rounds they seem to be inconsistant at long range. i zero at 75 which does make it a bit of a pain at anything closer than 30. but i have a sort of mental map of where to adjust the cross hair at anything over 75. RWS and winnies go through my cz ok. must admit iam a bit surprised that not more people take the longer shots, i dont mean under the lamp i mean in daylight, under the lamp distance is that much harder to judge and my eyes are not what they used to be so i limit myself to the closer shots. the target below shows 3 CCI velocitors at 100 yards, not a great group,
  7. well put and yes it was old cleve.
  8. Further to another tread where it was mentioned about Rabbits at distance with a 22lr, i would very much like to know what range some of you Zero at and what ranges do you tackle bunnies at. round here you have to be prepaired to take them at 100yrd plus, not every shot is that far but quiet a few.
  9. sorry mark was joking mate!!! left the ! off the end

  17. seems that most people agree that the 22lr is old faithful alrounder. Gram71 your swede what is it???? been raking me brain and its begining to hurt!!!!!!!!!!.
  18. the vid is in the gallery, come out a bit rubbish, the boys camera work is not so good but i seem to remember a zoomed out bit but there you go if you listen carefuly you can hear me read the range finder while the picture is all over the place. will try and dig out something a bit better.
