    ok thanks for your help ive herd of a few dogs killin a ferret by accident,im thinking jack or whippet ive got a doberman so dont really want 2 big dogs lol a jack or whippet wouldent be any problem,ok ill start a look out for workin breeds :)thankyou

    im aware that they wouldent catch many rabbits it open ground as they are just to short lol,but when you say marking u mean they get the sent of rabbit and you send in the ferret or start diggin ye?and if ferret was down the hole would the jack manage to catch it when it bolts from hole obviously if it sprinted would be slim chance,and when you say bushing through brambles you mean they will basicly chase them out of the bush or make you aware if they find a hole ye?

    hi,looking at jack russ's and wonderin what is there use towards hunting rabbits?i am looking into a lurcher but jacks are smaller and easier to loook after ect so is more practical house wise but haw would it do its job with gettin me rabbits?thanks

    I had a whippet pre ban had a hatred for fox's take a while to dispash it, she used catch them of the hole out with the terriers and lamp the lil bitch hated them may have just been her but she delt with a good few in her life and didnt bat a eye lid but for an out an out foxing dog i wouldt like to use 1 they would recive a fair bit of punishment Atb taffyboi aslong as the fox was not a big f***er i suppose it would do well pre ban,but if it was a fully grown big fox it would be a silly idea
