I just found this on Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261024667361?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Does anyone know what they are worth? I will start saving up. I saw a really good example of three Deerhounds pulling down a deer last year in France but it was more than 300 euros - I should have brought it when i had the chance. Does anyone have pics of their Lurcher Art and Bronzes? Thanks JP

Badger 2 yrs at 7MonthsAt 7months Just love to watch him run. Really starting to make his mark now.

I spend a lot of time in Kaikoura and do a bit of pig hunting, but Im currently working in Germany - In thirty years I have never heard of a pig attacking a cow. -

Never seen one struggle to keep up with Rabbit... Beddy Whippets have great speed, but they are not hare dogs, as I said they are fast enough to catch the odd hare or two but if you want an all rounder, get a Beddy x Grey. Opinions are like arseholes...everyones got them.

Stewie, I run a F1 first cross Beddy Whippet (Dam Whippet). Great dog but - Not enough top end speed for hare, she gets the odd one or two, but regularly gets out run. She is a Ninja on redcoats, rats, rabits and running pheasants but hates working in brambles. Great little dogs but more of a ferreting alli or lamping dog, will run the flanks while bushing really effectively. I hope this helps. Check out the forum attached - I'm not on their much but if you want good working stock (dont bother with the show stuff) then not a bad place to start. Hope this helps. JP

Thanks for all the nice comments. A few answers - He came from Shanehound on this site. I was struggling to find a workng Deerhound and Jigsaw answered my post and let me know about the litter. He has been kept off the big stuff up until now but has had a few promising runs recently. Turns quicker than most and keeps the Beddy Whippet on her toes, very fast for his size and can real in the fox, roe and fallow we have around here. A tall lad at 31" but wiry and light framed. Will be getting into some serious hunting this Winter so will keep you all posted. Would love another from the same line

Shanehound, Badger has grown well, cant believe he is two already. He has definately got the hunting instinct and will get more hunting now he is fully grown. Great dog, hope yours are coming on too. Here are a few pics. Out for a mooch about.
