whats it like compared to other mods ? i have a sak and a mod made by an engineer lincon way. the custom mod is slightly quieter than the sak. how does the dm80 compare to the sak noise wise? does anyone know where i can get one as they seem hard to come by.

nice shooting. what range where you getting them at?

i tried alot of different brands in my .22lr and settle on the ely subs. i am very happy with them. don't think the cci subs are very good, the odd one made a crack while others didn't. in fact i woud not shoot my .22lr any more if i could not get either cci velocitors or eleys subs or winchester super x. the eleys don't chambe very well but the quality is very good /they are very accurate out of my browning 52. 50 100 150 y the eley subs are very good i find.

Hi guys having lost 14 hens over the last months i though it best to fight back. so after some months getting used to my gun i finally took the kind advice of rich and baited an area 60 yards away from my house in my field. so i'm in my slippers tonight walking toward my lounge and and take a look out the door window with my gen 1 nv. there i saw a pair of eyes on a little wall next to my decking, i then saw the eyes disapear within a second as he spots me and i though that might be a fox. then i kept still and look around and there i could see my little cat sat on the edge of the dec

good bag chap well done. my guns loves the jsb exact even running at 1000fps or the jsb 18.1g running at 950 fps. if using anything else it mostly shoots ok but use bisley magnums and it like shot gun shot after 60ys. mag or silver tray makes little difference with accuracy. had a mapie today at 99 yards with the 18.1grains stood resting on the wall so the gun is flawless with jsb exacts. my gun is a airwolf mvt fac.

.22lr accuracy - paper punching testing
riflehunter583 replied to riflehunter583's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
That's nonsensical, and completely irrelevant to the debate. The .308 covers the same distance in a much shorter time (even than the .17), so of course it will deflect less given the same BC. The .17 has a far worse BC than the .308, and the LR, so it's a bad example. Put up the figures your program gives you for a 17gr .17, running a BC of about .123 and see what we get! these figures are not from me they are off the net. i don't have a program for this find it yourself. it is relevant to what the chap before said relating to the wind comment as a general comparison. your typing is -
.22lr accuracy - paper punching testing

I have been doing this a VERY long time, I have 8 FAC tools and an assortment of shotguns and air rifles/pistols. This is how I make a living and is also my sport, and despite what many think I will be the first to admit I don't know it all. What my experience has brought me is familiarity with MANY rifles and ammo types, I have a good idea of the suitability and limits of each, and their different ammo, in many many situations, that's why I have so many rifles, 2 of them are .22lr, the rest are all different, I take out the most suitable rifle for every job, I don't take out a .22lr to shoo -
Firearms certificate question
riflehunter583 replied to MR TEA POT's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
if i were you chap i would ring the fire arms admin and check if everyting is in order. one would hope they sort it for free if it is worded wrong. as far responsible shooters and police are concerned .22lr is unsuitable for shooting all deer species. -
