    my 23inch whipx was quick enough to catch a hare so over the moon, loves the bunnies, only really hunt bunnies so the dog is perfect for me,

    im not the best at cutting nails but as yet no injurys and 28 yrs on always done it myself, get the right clippers and a small light shine at back of nail and see the bloodline and clip just under or more road work,

    at the end of the day nobody is going to tell me or stop me from getting a lurcher or two, i do a wee bit and that suits me end ov, me dogs get everything they need, i enjoy walking the fields and keep myself to myself

    right the point im going to make is all about me, ive got two lurchers a whip x and a saluki x both 23inch, i mainly walk the fields and catch the odd bunny now im not as good as the 5 times a week hunter and 50, 60 or 70 catches but i enjoy keeping my dogs fit, eager, and the main thing happy, they are mostly a pet and i cant see a problem as the whip x was a rescue all skin a bone but hes had a hare or 2 and plenty of rabbs so hes had a good life entering his 11th year, now the only thing i would say pet owners with lurchers need to do is know more about the dogs and its good and bad faults

    read in scottish paper today that a hawk ripped a terriers tongue out in dundee as they was walking on a footpath, hell cant even walk safe from hawks now, poor mutt.

    mine had one whippx grey also and left paw, started limping really bad, vet said what it was and i wasnt sure but had him in for a wee opp they cut it out and two years on all is ok touch wood,

    totally agree with you bezza, could be wrong but said straight away he never said or done anythink wrong, refs need strong linesmen or women to help them as much aS POSSIBLE but do they? no chance they just dont want the hassle of a mistake on their hands as the media would be all over them, i havnt got a problem with refs making mistakes as long as its a minor, anyway if mark has said it then man hes goneeeeeeeeeeeeeee
