  1. That 270 is very nice mate. Happy shooting with it. Is it a heavy beast compared to the tikka would you know
  2. would love to but if something happened to it i'd be fubar'd trying to replace it
  3. As long as he left it in place for you! I'm looking at getting one for Charlie watch as I reckon I've got 3 coming up from different places.
  4. Lol Dan, I tried mate but I reckon the heat got me down. Should be near you next month. Been needing to wait til I get paid before shopping! Made myself a second high seat last weekend. Needs finishing and netting up but should offer me some better Charlie angles.
  5. I shouldn't make light of this but.... It's a cat astrophe really. Maybe one day there will be so bloody many of them that there will be a basc approved season for them. Just like there's too many seagulls killing off other species, grey squirrels killing off reds and too many bloody badgers
  6. Best advice then is dead easy, Don't touch them! End of problem.
  7. ^^only in the houses of parliament^^
  8. just picked up a steyr, tikka t3, sako ??, browning x bol, sauer and of those i felt the tikka was the most comfortable, then the browning. Got to go look and try a howa/weatherby though. tough choices, luckily all these were already scoped up so i got an idea on weight and comfort on the cheek etc. none had a mod on though but i did try a few with a mod and some were massively barrel heavy so unless you have arms like schwarzenegger or are using a rest of some sort then god knows how you get an accurate shot off.
  9. A quick update, i've decided to make my own setup and have ordered the bits to do it. Will let you know how i get on. This way i can save more money for my scope.
  10. there's a place you can pay for a cd or download of questions and answers i think. I'm sure someone mentioned it to me before i went on my DSC
  11. totally agreed with the above. I was the least experienced of all on my DSC last November but a lot of reading, more reading and note taking in class and I got through it. I was more worried about the shot taking than the paperwork.
  12. yup, the bipod is great! then you will want to "upgrade" to a bigger calibre, Shotgun and night vision
  13. An "after" picture of the 7 pointer (Sussex's)
  14. Huge thanks my friend! If you need help with stuff let me know.
  15. Hi, I'm looking at doing a day? Course on Gralloch, butchery and preparation. I've googled around the Kent and Sussex areas but not much about. Ideally I'd like to also cover rabbit, pheasant, etc plucking and gutting. I've seen the DVD and YouTube vids but unless I'm doing it at the time, I know I'd forget something important. Anyone got any ideas of places I could go to learn? Cheers,
  16. I can't take any credit, I'm only putting the pics up on behalf of Sussex.
  17. Congrats, I just got my variation through in very fast time.
