  1. That's my 22, setup works well to about 50 yards so I might have to play with the camera settings or try better batteries for the ir light. If I use my red lamp which is much more powerful I can see for over 150 yards easily. Will have a play with it over the next few days.
  2. oops. i think i'd have made the time! See what happens next i guess. On my variation my FLO appologised for arriving late as he went next door to see them too and put the paperwork in a different order by accident. Then my dog tried to take a small but not too insignificant chunk out of him. Luckily dog didn't get that close then settled and wanted to play so it all worked out. Yours probably will too
  3. My Howa 1500 is good, be even better when i get a new scope for it (one that's CF rated that is )
  4. mine works a treat, just need to get used to it and use some film over the screen to make it duller.
  5. I'm not too bad a shot but I've just been to Bisley and had a go at the 223 rifle on a moving deer target. It moves slowly and is only 100 yards away and I have to say its not an easy shot to hit the deers boiler room. And that was a deer walking pace! So all this bravado about hitting something at 1000 yards is utter shite in my opinion. I did the 1000 yard with a 308 on the match rifle targets which are pretty big and hit the black but if that was a deer then it would be in real pain and suffering. If long range stuff is what you want to do then use non live targets or join the armed
  6. Too early to tell yet, hope to try it tonight if I can get time to grab a couple of small bolts to finish it
  7. I copied one from you tube, Bullet camera LCD screen Ir flashlight from pulsar Battery pack although I'm using my large lamp battery to test On YouTube it's. Rolaids work bench Version 1.0
  8. Not sure if it's the right thing as there are others I'm reading about and might get to see up at bisley tomorrow.
  9. At last I got the night vision to work. Just got to bolt the bits together and then test it. So hopefully it will work well. Keep you posted over the weekend. On the 243 scope thing, I've got til Monday to accept the 30% off offer on a new hawke scope.
  10. Their top of the range is still only £389 on their site and is a 8-32x50 I think. Still reading through the scope specs and reviews for lots of makes.
  11. Bratton....... Cabinet all the way! Plenty of room on the rifle ones so no scope removing and can fit in a few no probs. Only thing i dont like is that they recommend you get the door opening to the other side to make it difficult to access! Mine opens wrong way for where it is and its an arse to get into without banging my arm, hand ,head to see into top part. lol
  12. ^^very true^^ holding on for a bit to have a look and see what's about. Got a friend that is keeping an eye out for me too. I'm up at Bisley on saturday so might be a place to be able to look through a few too.
  13. Well I sent the scope back and bearing in mind it's old and knackered, they have offered me 30% off a new one of my choice. Now I know it not German glass but what are your thoughts folks
  14. Cz all the way... In my novice opinion of course
  15. I'll try the scope from my rimmy and see if it will line up. The odd thing is that this was lined up ok but now its fubar after 3 shots!
  16. Hi folks, need some help please. Put my 6.5-24x50 onto my 243 and used my shot saver thing to try to get on paper target. Had no joy at all so took it to my local gun shop who did the same thing with their shot saver. I looked through the barrel and it appeared to be good but fired the shot and its 6 inches right and 5 high. I tried to alter the clicks but ran out of adjustment. Came back inside and used a bit of paper with a red circle on it and put it on the wall, got he barrel lined up with it ok but when I looked through the scope, the cross hairs have twisted as if the scope
