  1. Well, highland outdoors have been fab, gun should be back at RFD by Tuesday with new stock. Then I can swap to the swaro and get back out there
  2. Flex in the hogue stock. Apparently common when using things like bipods and sticks etc. It was touching the barrel and moving my POI
  3. They rang me first thing this morning and hopefully getting something sorted out. Should find out later today apparently.
  4. It's been in a wee while now although I think the guy wasn't back to test it until Monday just gone. Holding off on filling my 223 slot until find out if I need to buy a different stock for it. Can't wait much longer, got foxes needing seen to and a swaro to go on it.
  5. Nice one mate, still not got my 223 yet
  6. http://www.sportsmanguncentre.co.uk/news/Remington+Model+700'E2'84'A2+Product+Recall/
  7. They should have received it last Friday so i'm going to ring today and see if they have had a chance to look at it yet. I'm hoping it'll be a quick turn round.
  8. Its the stock touching the barrel. I got the synthetic for practicality but they don't get a great review so i've found out.Hoping i might be able to upgrade to a laminate or different stock. I'm ringing them today.
  9. Bought myself a swaro 8x56 scope which turned up today but I don't have a rifle to put it on. The 243 is back at HO being looked at and I've not had much of a chance to go and add a new 223 to fill my new slot. Ho hum
  10. Just recently had my variation back for my 223 and going shopping very soon
  11. Variation was just under 4 weeks but they are really busy at the moment as 3 people down I think my FLO said
  12. Guess it's like wind, the harder it rains then it must do something? Right? Wrong? Lol
  13. Cheers Walshy but mine should be under warranty still hopefully.
  14. My howa is the vogue stock. I rang the dealer I got it from and it's been a common problem apparently with mods and bipods. They said to try ringing highland outdoors and seeing what happens first. I might see about a laminate "pepper" stock or the Knox axiom.
  15. My 22 lr is a browning and it's great Not into varmint barrels or long barrels but might look at twist rates etc
  16. Not sure, was thinking of another Howa but my 243 howa stock keeps touching the barrel so I've got to get that seen to by somewhere. Maybe a tikka but not sure
  17. Had my FLO visit on Monday and when I got home tonight my cert was waiting for me. 223 added! Result Just in time to go shopping, oh wait, darn I don't get paid until the 27th.
  18. Pretty interesting really, that doesn't come up in DSC1. Oh dear, what have I started........
  19. And a damn long stock it is too lol
  20. Mate I cannot agree with your statement I use my 25 06 lamping even used to take my 300 rum out they are just fine because I make damned sure I know what I'm shooting at. If you can't see behind that target you shouldn't be pulling the trigger no matter the calibre I agree Dan and obviously wouldn't shoot without knowing what my backstop was etc. I was thinking from a point of view where maybe there isn't field after field or hectares of space behind the target, where perhaps even the use of a 50 cal would be fine (This is a sweeping statement but just for simplicity) More powe
  21. got my 243 first for fox and deer but just put in for a 223 for fox too (night time use as the 243 is just too much power even with a 55g when you cant see far enough behind the target) FLO came out on monday and agreed so just waiting for the paperwork to come back
  22. I've had both and the cz is brilliant but the browning off me is just that little bit better.
  23. Ditto that, I tried a few at my local place and couldn't get on with any. Went to shop and had several options available from cheap to limitless. If it doesn't fit it could kick like a mule
