  2. They fetch a fair price over here ....averaging €20-35 each. I couldnt believe it when i was looking for mine. I used to pay about a fiver back in the U.K
  3. I started ferreting with no locator. Got taught a lot by a fella in Ascot, i was an estate manager and an abundance of rabbits and different ground to ferret. I learnt the old school ways. Listening was the greatest tool you had. Now we had collars on the ferrets with small bells on. Youd be surprised how you can hear that sound next to the burrow if the ferret is moving or even if its killed. If it was laid up for a while and nothing happenning then it was ear to the burrows and see if ye can hear the bell.   5. Yeah i had a good look at it and will modify it slightly .....nice idea there with the bottom section you done. What base you use on the floor? is it marine ply? No chance of my missus feeding them :icon_eek: She wont go near em

  9. Used to live in norfolk just outside Thetford in a place called Methwold Hythe.....was milking cows and working on a pig farm. Nice one there about the old gamekeeper at Elvedon.

  13. Also try with a bit of liver or heart next to her dry food ...not mixed with it but next to it....she if she'll take to it....or cook the rabbit or chicken and try her with that
  14. Try her with a back leg see how she fairs with that..........if not and you really want her on fresh food then try blending in a blender make a sort of puree so she gets to taste it........she may be like my missus ....lazy :laugh:
  15. Try some flexible wire fairly sturdy but able to bend around the u_bend. If not plunge it with a plunger add water too the bath so you can jet the water into the plug hole with the plunger causing the blockage to move
  16. My hob likes rabbit normally and chicken .....put one in the other day and hardly touched it. I should try dry food an see how she goes with that....then introduce meat in small quantities and see if she'll eat it. As long as she is eating well on other foods i wouldnt be too concerned
