Strength and honour, Had it but aint got it anymore......Was on the set of the film keeping the travellers away from Vinnie Jones and Richard Chamberlain. Saw the scene in the warehouse where Vinnie was on the back of the truck. That was filmed in the marina here in the city. Loads of peole i know over here were used as extras for the film. But when i actually saw the film i though it was a let down. There used to be a fella up Norfolk way called Ely Frankham was a fair handy fella and a traveller. Certainly not a fella to mess with by all accounts. Theres been some good bare knuckle fight

no i know mate i wasnt directing that at you i just meant in general.........whatever has led to this obssesion with gypsy fighting i dont know....but its not good for boxing in my opinion and definately not youngsters. I dont think boys should be introduced to any sport that young but thats only my opinion and thats only from a sporting point of view not a parents...so not saying im right like. I think bare knuckle fighting and travellers have been linked for many a year but it was Guy Ritchie and the film Snatch that made it "cool".......Read Bartley Gormans book a good few years ago

Well it is true, it does happen. There not easy going on there kids by a longshot. Seen some of the fights amongst the kids with there dads pushing them forward towards the other kid ....and its sad when you can see that the kid dont want to fight. A different way of life completely.

4 ... Stone me !! and i thought our ol fella started us young...... Personally i believe anyone getting their youngsters into boxing should steer as far away from this gypsy stuff as possible.....if you wanted your lad to be the next Beckham or Rooney you wouldnt take them to watch sunday morning pub football you would want them watching and learning from pros...........same applies to boxing......Its a beautiful sport but set them off on the right foot would be my advice. No i dont mean its a gypsy run boxing gym. Its a properly controlled boxing gym. Its a club that Gary Spike Osul

Fair play to him goldfinch. My boy wants to start kickboxing but unfortunately the local clubs wont take him till he's 6. I train him and my daughter at home so when he starts he'll be fairly handy to start with. The daughter if she keeps at it should be black belt by times she's 11-12. I started karate early and then went onto other forms of martial arts, currently doing krav maga. Hope your fella keeps at it mate.

My daughters getting there 8 years old and won silver medal in the world karate championships in turin last year. Starting my little fella boxing this year he's 4 and the club he's starting at theres a fair few good boxers there.....travellers and settled folk. Think it gives them discipline starting them young.

This is a travellers fight that took place in dublin last year, as a settler between two families.....the keenans are from cork and i know well and a big family that ive done business with in the past. Aye looking forward to it myself. And no there is a few of the travelling community that dont appreciate there lifestyle being splashed across the t.v. There was a bit of uproar over Big Fat Gypsy wedding over here about the "Grabbing" thats supposed to go on. I know travellers that aint happy about it. And they are quite private people.

I dont fall back on the law, but the law is there and supposed to be followed. Ive stepped the wrong side of the law and paid the price for it. But i freely admit, that what i did i shouldnt have done. But at least im man enough to admit i was wrong. Now i dont agree with all the laws, but i do agree with my own morals on things. you say people are being waterboarded as we speak ....yes i dont doubt that for a second.....but doesnt mean i agree with it. im an individual same as you same as everyone else on here, ive done what ive done, ive been where ive been, and ive seen what ive seen. An opinion is a personal view or attitude, so my opinion is that a U.S marine should not piss on a dead taliban. I dont need experience to express that opinion. Principles is a personal basis of conduct, and on my persoanl basis i dont beleive that a U.S marine should piss on a dead taliban. Morals is the distinction between right and wrong. My morals say its wrong for a U.S marine to piss on a dead taliban. i dont need an that experience to say whether its right or wrong. And i dont think i know what a soldier goes through and have never said that i do. And i certainly wouldnt base my

i know what goes on in the world and have never had a rosy view on it. But the original question of this thread was "Whats your thought on it" ......and i think its wrong, That is my opinion and im entitled to it. If the world wasnt made up of different opinions and ideas we'd still be living in caves. Wow i must start doing psychic readings........nope...your just predictable Like i did say before....i dont like war stories ....so i wouldnt know the contents of "Alex" Chris ryans books......so im not as big a prick as you thought :whistling: Know all? Yeah i know a fair bit t

A very fetching story Socks. But nothing to do with my post or my questions.....save your war stories for your grandkids, they might be interested in them, me personally if i wanted to read that sort of stuff i'd go buy a Chris Ryan book. So, im typing this slowly for you Socks, so you can read it properly, then make a proper reply....without the war stories, and all the mortars and everything else you seen ok! Some simple questions for you Socks. Take your time and answer at your own pace. 1. In my last post did i anywhere, compare doorwork to being in a warzone?....please feel f

so f*****g what ,not like they care about thier bodies being intact when they strap a load of explosives to themselfs and kill a shit load of innocent people. as for torturing them. couldnt care less. if it saves one british soldiers life or stops a terrorist attack then torture them everyday to get info. like has been said they are not shy at mutilating and torture.whats good for the goose.cant believe some folk are actualling defending a load of dead terrorists and in the same breath slating our soldiers. f**k them and those who have sympathy for them. Dont beleive anywhere in any of

As it happenned in sport and not in the workplace, dont think you'll get compensation...unless it was proved to be malicious (assault). Not sure whether your self employed or on the cards but you should be able to get SSP either from your employer or the social....as long as your tax is ok and your stamps. Good luck with the recovery.

Im talking about war in general not just the ragheads. So i will shout off if i wish . And as for loyalties......loyalties to who?? A mongrel government ....dont think so. "My" coutry..........ive go less rights in my country than all the foreigners, in this day and age why should i be loyal to my country.....whats it giving me. Nothing i dont live there and hope to never live there again. Glad im out of it in all honestly, gone to the dogs. Not arguing just voicing my opinion

And besides who makes the "rules" for war......its laughable....geneva convention crap ...i mean come on, if your fighting for something that you beleive to be yours ....are you really gonna sit down write the rules beforehand...i think not. If theres rules in war then im the pope. May as well get the checkers board out and see who wins on that ........
