    Good long list of things to take, some I wouldn't bother with and most we all hope never to use. One very important item to take with you when ever you take the dog out.....mobile phone with at least two good vet numbers and also their emergency number..Imo more important than most things on that list. And if you are planning on stitching, stapling or gluing out in the field what about sterilised water to flush the wound with!...I'd hate to think all you budding seamstress's would stitch a dirty wound.

    Give them as much space as you can, feed them proper food and handle them as often as possible. Do a bit of research on Google and get some books from the library. Have fun..

    It's nothing to do with the food!..It's the silver gene. Few years back I had a deformed kit and I always feed ferrets in kit properly and feed young kits proper food even before their eyes open....Too much fancy cross breeding going on these days imo..

    Bitter Apples!....Used to stop children chewing their nails and also available in a spray to stop dogs chewing what they shouldn't. Never used it myself but it might be worth a try if you don't want to use the after shave the great aunt gave you last Christmas...

    Not so!...It's just a quirk of nature, a recessive gene that comes out now and again. Bit like ginger headed babies... :laugh: ..No offence to any ginger mingers, after all, it's just another shade of blond!..     Why do people put towels and fecking pillow cases in for the kits?.... A good handful of clean straw is all that's needed and less chance of a kit getting lost in the folds of a towel. Remember to have some fresh meat ready for the kits when they start crawling about the nest at about three weeks old or sooner.

    Beddylurcher, you play with your ferrets as often as you like! They will love the attention and you will enjoy handling them as well. When I introduce a new dog to ferrets I always get them eating and drinking together. Always put the bowl down for the ferrets and let the dog join in, not the other way for obvious reasons!

    Was the horse's name Mr Ed?...He might have told your dog to feck off out of his field or else! On a serious note, I usually find the large livestock no problem unless they make a sudden move toward the dog. My Meg keeps tight by me when we walk through cattle as she realises she is safer.

    We are all from foreign descent! We havn't had an English King or Queen for over a thousand years! Most from the United Kingdoms of England Scotland Ireland and Wales are happy to emigrate/retire to other countries but kick up a fuss when the "foreigners" want to come here. The only feckers I don't want here art the itinerant f*****g travellers that steal anything that aint bolted down and leave their shit in every field they doss in!
