Neat Tom!...I thought all sporrans were made from brock! .....Guess you gotta use something else as Badger is off ..don't think any jocks would hang a piece of road kill across their tackle

  14. Could do with some but I'll be fecked if I'm going to pay my vet for a consultation fee ...Can anyone supply me with some?
  15. To be quite honest mate I think she’s too young to have a litter just yet, let her grow up first. Unless your hob’s have been in the same light etc I doubt if they are ready to do the bizz, if it were me I’d give her the jill jab just to be sure and give her proper winter daylight hours. I’m not a fan of the jill jab, imo it can cause problems if given regularly over a number of years but the odd occasion should be ok......In the first instance as she's not too large going by your description you could try leaving her for a 3/4 weeks in winter light see if she 'comes off' on her own!
  16. I’ve three silvers, a hob who’s mustard underground and two jill’s one of which is starting to show promise and a nice working size. The other jill is rather on the small side (born same time as other silvers last season) and is showing no signs that she will come into season. So out of three in my court I’ve two gooduns and one mule!
  17. Close/incestuous breeding can cause problems but not always, out in the wild animals aint too particular who they mate with but in most cases their offspring disperse to other territories. Careful line breeding can produce good stock, merles and silvers can and do produce abnormalities, practise good animal husbandry and you should be trouble free.
  18. There ya go gnipper couldn't have said it much better myself Not every unison will produce problems it just aint worth the risk. Breeding from white collies produces problems also, and they'd never get down a hole and bolt a rabbit
  19. :11: yes I agree...keep practising you'll get there in the end
  20. You must be thinking of silver's nutter, they can produce faults. Fitch types albino's and sandy's are more natural colours and unless you breed too close too often you shouldn't get any deformed/deaf/stunted kits. Brother sister mating could and does happen in the wild and their offspring would wander off and dilute the gene pool, lots of folk line breed their dogs don't forget and if they select carefully they don't have problems. Just don't cross mearles or silvers The mother of this litter has only ever produced two other litters with two kits each. Father was albino and mot
  21. Mine caught it last year, gave them a dose of AB's for about three days I think it was and bought some kiddies Benylin and gave kiddies dose with warm milk and a drop of honey ...they loved the stuff They were right as rain with in a week, guess I was lucky the didn't have it too bad
  22. My old silver bitch was really protective towards her ferrets, she would attack any dog that came near!...That was the aggresive streak from the collie
  23. That's a longer story than kye's posts :11: :11: :11: :11: Good on ya kye, you got satelite link up to your laptop pc there
