  4. And worth every penny. Bob I agree!....What price could you put on an experienced ferret?...It will work as many years as a dog and you would never sell your ferreting dog for a fiver!...A good ferret...= Priceless
  5. I reckon a lot of business's play the price game not just the vet's. Few years back I was chatting with a dog man from the valley's and was surprised to learn that dog food there was much cheaper, his explenation was that if the dog peopla aint got the money they wont spend it so price's have to stay down
  6. Fair comment Sock's ....Would a Greyhound keep up with a whippet on that initial take off for the first fifteen yards?..I've only been the greyhound tracks a few times and never watched whippets race...yet!
  7. Down my way everyone, except me, has pots of money the cheapest house you can buy would set you back 150k+ for a two up two down terrace Vet's charge what they like in most practices here, pts about £40 first visit 18 - 25. My vet is ok imo and charges sensible prices, cheaper for small animals like ferrets ...Perhaps vets in BB's area would rather charge less cos they know they will get nothing if they charge too much as some owners might take their dogs for a walk in the woods
  8. It’s ‘horses for courses’ of course.. Where kye is a biggun does the job and he’s happy where I am for what I do 23†is just the ticket.. If there was 111 yards from coney to cover then Sock’s dogs would do just fine.. Would a biggun catch a bo lting rabbit from a standing start if the next cover was fifteen twenty yards away!...possible but not probable imo
  9. Folding spade!..waste of fecking time ...Get yourself a decent graft for the job
  10. lmfao....@ginge ...Tiny ferrets are a waste of time, unless you're just a pet ferret keeper. They can't kill and they don't have the muscle to bolt a rabbit. By all acounts your midget ferret is a biter and an unproved worker so why breed from him?
  11. Er...you taking the piss?... ...Or do you support puppy farmers
  12. 'Boxer' engine? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thats the one, very strong engines <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Always a very unique sound to boxer jobbies, crisp and eager ...even a 2cv ....think my favourite was the Alfasud 1.5, cracking piece of engineering imo ...shame the bodywork attracted tinworm
  13. Got a 'BlackMansWilly' on a 'D' plate come in on PX, done 236,000 (miles NOT km) and still sweet as a nut
  14. Well there was!.....but they changed its name to ... 'The Rising Tide'
  15. Good pic's there DC ...always good to see ferret pictures..
  16. Baldie, Nightwalker,...we can't blame the kennels/insurance companys as well you know, kennels insurance won't pay out if clients wern't insured 'cos their insurance cover will be void if dogs are not fully jabbed up!...catch 22
  17. Yea she's just under 50 lb of solid muscle and like a tight coil waiting to explode :11:
  18. I think most of us are of the same opinion but vets will still recommend Leptospirosis inoculations
  19. Their prices are very reasonable they must be busy most of the time!..about half what you'd expect to pay this way!
  20. :11: :11: ...I can't imagine Snelly selling 'Snelly Mansions' and moving from the Garden of England to the 'burbs ....Don't forget the invite for the 'house cooling' party :friends:
  21. Canon 350D Takes very good pictures, just need to practise
