  1. Not Hoopers was it, Mike? No Ditch, it was the wet fish shop in my home village of East Preston..
  2. Kids, they ask too many questions.. My father used to breed rabbits for the local fishmonger to sell, yea fishmonger not the butcher , I was forbidden to make a fuss of all except the stud buck!
  3. Raw chicken carcases from the butcher, they're free!
  4. Because you would not be 100% sure it had a clean demise free from any infectious disease. And for the same reason I would not feed a dead pet/working dog to my ferrets........It's totally immoral, and I can't for the life of me think why I have answered such a fecking stupid question..... Must be an age thing!
  5. Good luck with your pup Tyson, looks a clean break well away from any growth plates. Snoopdog, your gran' into coursing as well..
  6. £175 or more would be a fair price for most lurcher pups imo, might help stop people buying them that can't afford to spend money on them. And I think colour/coat is important, you gotta look at it for the next umpteen years.. But of course once you've succumbed to the 'puppy dog sale' any shape or colour will do..
  7. You might have better luck with a Gimp suit from some of the member here....
  8. You still having them wild dreams Moll!!!!...
  9. 'Court' cough even!....
  10. You're a hard bitch Molly... ..I'd hate to go to you with a cut finger...
  11. If he was mauled by your dog the wound may be dirty, or hair pushed in with the bite causing irritation/minor infection. Check the wound and pull any fur/crap from the wound.
  12. I've been lucky that none of my dogs have ever needed an 'Elizabethan Collar'.. Imo they only worry the wound if there is an infection, however slight. An infected scratch from a rabbit on the back of your hand irritates and attracts attention. Pay your money for a proper vet to deal with the problem....Sorted!...
  13. Don't know for sure, wouldn't be suprised if they could. Keep 'em away from the mutts just in case. Have you tried kiddies benylin to help the dogs?
  14. Did he not say it was in isolation!... If it was/is carrying an infection then it will be everywhere from contact with hands and dogs!...Hope none of my animals ever pass's your way by accident...
  15. Not necessarily bred from but more chance of a longer life generally if bought out of season. They can develop aplastic anaemia if they never get bought out of season.
  16. Ferrets can and do catch human influenza and also just about any other sickness from cats and dogs..
  17. I gotta agree with Millet on this subject!....I had a lurcher that tore easily so I do have some experience with skin wounds, stiched up that dog will be running/working in seven days or less. Left to heal on its own, and it will evenyually, it will take a up to a month or more to heal properly....Just my opinion speaking from experience..
  18. Er,...what are 60-40 tyres?...Town 'n Country!!
  19. That's right Boris..It's the steam condensed. Jasper you tight arse.. ...
  20. Gotta be done before three days old I believe! Don't tell that neighbour, he'll never know..
  21. Maybe your mate should take his dog to the vet for professional advise, they'd give him a price too! Good luck.
  22. There are flea's everywhere, they jump on your feet from the grass and hop off soon as they find something warmer. Hedgehog's/cat's/dog's could have passed the flea's on or even a fox!...If you have pet rabbits you need to vacinate them, or put them in the pot before they catch it...
  23. Imo there are two types of aggressive ferets....Them that nip and them that maul you through fear... Nippers are easy to get round (It's got feck all to do with respect imo, I don't think ferrets apply rational thinking when it comes to fear biting). Them that bite through fear are a serious problem and have no place in my court. I took in a rescued youngster from a local keeper, found wondering the lane. Quarantined her for a few days and then put her in with my others, lots of patience and tlc was given to this ferret and it still hissed and attacked me. Like I say there is a difference twi
  24. Just my opinion but I don't reckon mozy's are a problem for long/thick haired animals, flea's and tick's are resident parasites to the humble coney.
